  1. This is a referendum on IUAW in my opinion.
  2. A no vote shows not only displeasure for our IUAW and its lack of representation as much as anything. We are no longer represented by but a profit center for IUAW. Case in point raising our dues without a vote of the membership. Taking not one but two raises since I've received one. Stealing a half a billion with a B from our strike fund without a vote from the whole membership. Why I'll vote no: .80 cent raise after 10 years with no raise. Disguising future profit sharing payment as a bonus now, 9 instead of 6 mandatory Saturday as a benefit, REALLY? And the thought of IUAW wanting to control my health care benefit money scares me to death.
  3. This is our IUAW at work: Although they have been shocked by the resistance of workers, there is no doubt that union and company executives, along with officials from the Obama administration, are already preparing a strategy to try to wear down opposition, divide workers and impose the dictates of the corporate and financial elite. This will likely include the threats of plant shutdowns and mass layoffs to blackmail workers into submission.
  4. It should be coming apparent to even the most diehard union members that IUAW no longer represents us but we are just a revenue stream for them. Now is the time to not only send Ford a signal that we helped them out when they needed it most and now it's time to repay the favor. It's time to stand up and say IUAW it's time you quit stealing from us and start doing the job you are supposed to do. Represent the desires of the dues paying members. Ford did'nt screw us last time, IUAW AND Bob King did. Verbal agreement from a licensed lawyer. REALLY? Raising our dues without a vote by the membership, stealing a half a billion with a B from our strike fund. IUAW has a fiduciary responsibility to represent the members interests and money. Not the interest of the free spending IUAW and their interests. The new breed of Ford employee is young and tech savvy. They can move information around quickly and efficiently. No longer can you promise some BS in one plant and not expect it to be public knowledge in minutes. If you think giving these self serving bastards our health care money and expect it to be good, I urge you to talk to a few retirees on VEBA. My local 249 fights hard for the needs it's members. I wish I could say the same for international. If you think I'm a union hater you didn't read the above. What I am sick and tired of is an International that puts their needs and desires before that of their members. In my humble opinion.
  5. You call me an idiot but I haven't had a raise in years. IUAW has embezzled millions out of the strike fund. We don't have a member vote in IUAW so call it what you want. I'm done
  6. I will now be for RTW check off In The next legislative session.
  7. I'd like to know if any of the Brothers and sisters sent their delegates to the conventions with instructions to vote FOR a dues increase!!!
  8. It's not on us if we have no vote. And before you say we do, forget it. We have a kangaroo IUAW voting system. We are no longer members of the IUAW in their eyes, we are a profit center. My local has represented me fine for the last 21 years. My International has represented the interests of the IUAW first and the membership as an after thought. If you think this is dirty laundry the worst is yet to come. All the new hires are young and very social media savy. They, unlike us older workers are much better at moving information from one to another in almost real time speed. IUAW wanting to file suit to set aside the vote appears to the general public as just sore loser. If IUAW wants to get a more favorable vote they need to prove that they are of value to their members. A person considering representation is probably going to look at the recent past to see how effective how that entity did for their membership. People don't need help taking things away, where is the value to that. Until our International shows that they are negotiating the best interest of the membership instead of the back room deals that are totally contrary to the desires of the membership, They are going to continue to be a hard sell. And if anybody believes my opinions and thoughts are not those of many of us is either sorely uninformed or an IUAW shill.
  9. Although I, like many of the brotherhood are disappointed with the outcome of the Volkswagen unionization vote. I find it ironic that Bob King is calling illegal, the tactics used by the Tennessee republican politicians. It is right out of the Bob King playbook. Isn't that the same thing he threatened us if we didn't pass the last contract? We wouldn't have a new product at our plant or any that didn't ratify it. I'm actually wondering at this point if Mr King is an operative for the Republican party. Stealing our strike fund money and trying to raise our dues. IUAW no longer listens or properly represents the desire of the Brothers and sisters of UAW. What a great way to get all the new hires to lean more toward RTW. My local represents me well but if IUAW continues it's present leadership style of ignoring the members and doing what they want. I for one would have no trouble refusing the international portion of my dues.
  10. The adverse ruling on arbitration was a for gone conclusion. IUAW thought if they drug it out long enough we would forget. This was purely a money grab by the IUAW on the last contract as they were out of money. This should have been settled before our contract. I urge all members to stop the ability of IUAW to use shill voting in the next election and throw them all out. If King and Settles were honorable men, they would bothe resign effective immediately. Bet that won't happen either.
  11. Where do sign. Also like to see a full audit of the IUAW from an outside independent auditor!!!
  12. I would also be asking for the resignation of Bob King and Jimmy Settles. They want us to pay not for Ford Veba short falls but that of the others. This is called conversion in the legal community. This contract should have never been brought up for a vote. This is a media nightmare.
  13. Ask this man 2 questions which he wouldn't answer. Same thing with other people on my line. This man didn't have a clue what the duties and extent of powers the President had. Being a so called good Union man doesn't mean you would make a good President. I made the Wright choice with my vote!!!
  14. For all of my fellow Brothers and Sisters, if you didn't know Toyota pickups are the Official truck of Bass Pro. They have one of the trucks parked on the sidewalk just as you enter a BP. Cabela's has Ford F-150's displayed. So if you are in the market for any sporting goods try to buy from Cabela's first. You might also let your local BP manager know what you think about them pairing with Toyota. Just my humble opinion, Greg
  15. Emailed them 6 days ago and still no reply. I don't need a free meal I just think they should realize how many jobs Toyota has displaced in the US.
