We have sent up the last 07 body tonight to paint ,,body build will start sunday night building 08 ,,wont be till tuesday till trim gets them I think ,,,,,as far as the tires I dont know ,,,,,,maybe someone else can help ya there

Maybe ,,,YOU should go back to JD powers and REALLY look at Windstar results ,and while you are there take a look at the Montery too ,,Windstar ranked #1 for vehicle in service and I beleave the Montery is also ranked #1 in service .If Oakville is such a bad plant why would Ford have given us the Windstar and not have given it to I guess Norfolk ,or anyother U.S plant when they entered the lucrative mini van segment ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, if my memory seves me correct Winstar was ranked #1 by J.D powers when we launched !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow I cant believe all the crying going on here !!!!!!!!!! Whats the matter with you people ,you cry because we have no work ,and at the thought of getting new products and getting back into a regular work pattern you start to cry even more !!!!!! YA 56 hours 48 hoursMonday to Friday and 8 hours on Sat !!!!!! Thjis on day shift !!!!! 2 weeks every month !!!!!! A lot of you from OTP got used to working that day shift only at a one shift plantthis and a lot of guys and girls I know bid to OTP for that reason, I am not slaming anyone from OTP but you guys had it good at the expence of a lost shift !!!! think about it !!!!!!!! I have been here for 24 years and have seen the good and have seen the BAD !!!! But all in all we have won all battles and have prospered ,we now have a chance to bring back enployment levels back to our communities and friends and neighbours and we cry over the damn hours that are PROPOSED if and when we max out with product and gainfull employment !!!!!!!! IF YOU DONT LIKE IT QUIT ,,, you will live longer and be a happier person in the end !!!!!! sorry if I ofended any one but I had to get that out :mellow: :shrug:

Ford is adding a third shift to mexico because of demand !!! Oakville could pick up some production in low volume and I beleivethat what we are getting is the same platform as the Fusion!!!!!

Does any one know if Ford is proposing this same type of hours of work to the other plants that are flex already such as Chicago ??????? Or are we the test !!???????? Enough is enough the unoin has known of this for a long time why is it now that we are being made aware of this only now !!!!!!!!!!! :shrug:

I heard the same thing, was told by my super, todd snieder , that body might go to 2 shifts in May !! They want to get us used to working the shifts again ,posibly 4 hours a shift , he wasnt sure about the midnight crew,maybe all 3 shifts !!! He also said that in June ,the last 2 weeks body would be working and that they would possibly be canvasing people to work the shut down in the new body shop,they want 2,000 units by the end of August !!!!! :shrug:

I have heard the same rumor ,we have over 200 days of inventory on the lots ,and cant even give them away its a shame !!!!!! Best quality vehicles we have built in a long time !!!!!!!!!! It would make sence to Quietly stop making them but not till we are closer to building its replacement !!!!!

Exactly ,if you work for Ford then you Should be driving aFord!!!!!!!!! If we all did that maybe we wouldnt be in the mess we are in now!!!!! :blink:
