What happened is what has happened to all unions - Reaganomics and "W omics". Working people have been sold a bill of goods and bought it hook line and sinker. The rich are ok because they never had to work anyway, they play middle man and let all the manufacturing jobs go off shore where the people who do the work, do so for a fraction of the cost of a living wage. Funny how prices don't go down on imported goods that used to be manufactured here. As long as working people vote for republicans and allow democrats to continue to campaign one way, then fuck everybody after elected - expect it to get worse. Considering what has happened in the country with such retarded election results for 28 years; the UAW has done one hell of job to keep as many people working as they have.

None! I am starting my second year and everything has on their end has been perfect. I wish they would have managed the plant I worked in as well as the contractor runs the edopp program.

Can't argue with your logic. I'm just not sure the other party is really any better for the working man these days.

Has edopp changed? I left in the 1st wave. My separation date was March 31 and I didn't start school till June 6th. Not a word was said about 30 days.

One stipend check per year. 1st one about a month after seperation, then around the anniversary of seperation for the remaining 3 years. No tution check, you get voucher to take to your school and school will bill Ford directly. Program info available on myuawford.com along with phone #'s and email addresses to get questions answered and problems resolved. From the time I filled out initial interest paperwork to seperation was about 5 weeks. That was my local, your local affects whether and when you leave. A lot of locals are resisting because it will hurt their financial bottom line and affect their Vegas, Black Lake, D.C., ect. ect. travel/party funds. Good Luck!

The vacation & excused abs. days on your check are earned from your attendence last year: you are not selling them in a buyout. I took educational buyout April 1 and also got all vacation and personal time due.

It is really strange. Only 2 days now. Slept in yesterday then spent most of the day on the phone chasing insurance people - we had massive storms Sunday night and had hail damage to the house and a car. Today I was up at work time (4:30) and was headed to the car before I realized......there is no work to go to :blink: . After I read the paper, I registered for school online and did yard work all day. Maybe tomorrow will be different...maybe I'll work hard to do.......nothing all day. Congrats on graduation. What were you studying?
