  1. 2007 MAZDA CX-9 CROSSOVER SUV TO MAKE GLOBAL DEBUT AT 2006 NEW YORK INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW 2007 Mazda CX-9 Crossover SUV IRVINE, Calif. – Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) will unveil its all-new 2007 Mazda CX-9 seven -passenger crossover sport-utility vehicle (SUV) at next week’s New York International Auto Show. Arriving in Mazda dealerships in early 2007, the CX-9 is designed and engineered specifically for North America . The Mazda CX-9’s design sets new standards for style, while incorporating an interior of sophisticated elegance with class-leading space and unmatched versatility. Best of all, CX-9 – like all Mazdas – has the Soul of a Sportscar. Like the Mazda CX-7 presented earlier this year, the CX-9 is a clean break from the traditional boxy SUVs crowding the US market, deftly blending sporty driving spirit with seven-passenger SUV practicality. “The North American market continues to play a leading role in Mazda Motor Corporation’s global future and financial health,†emphasizes Jim O’Sullivan, president and CEO, MNAO. “The all-new CX-7 and CX-9 were engineered specifically for North America to help us fulfill ambitious goals. The CX-9 has traits only a Mazda SUV could have: strong performance, agile handling, precise steering and superior quality and craftsmanship.†Mazda C X-9 targets y oung couples and modern families with a focus on family interests, yet haven’t lost their desire for high-intensity leisure activities, learning experiences and social interaction. It is also ideal for couples with grown children who pursue an active lifestyle. Every CX-9 is powered by a new 3.5-liter V6 engine driven through a standard six-speed automatic transmission. Final drive is through either front- or all-wheel drive. Brakes are large ventilated discs on all four wheels. More detail on specific model content will be available closer to launch, but standard features on all trims include air conditioning, power windows, power door locks with remote keyless entry, cruise control, and six airbags. To help avoid accidents, all CX-9s are fitted as standard with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Roll Stability Control (RSC) and Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS). An optionally available power-operated lift gate provides one-touch opening and closing access to the cargo hold. Headquartered in Irvine, Calif., Mazda North American Operations oversees the sales, marketing, parts and customer service support of Mazda vehicles in the United States, Canada and Mexico through nearly 900 dealers. Operations in Canada are managed by Mazda Canada, Inc., located in Ontario, Canada and in Mexico by Mazda Motor de Mexico in Mexico City.
  2. They will destroy you! -- Ford and GM are going to pull a page from Caterpillar’s playbook. Study it -- it is your future. I'd start saving for the strike, it is going to be long, and there will be replacement workers at some plants, just like Caterpillar. Come 2008 Ford and GM will be drastically different companies. For everyone just hope they don’t file for bankruptcy, the only people that win there is the board and the lawyers. Take the buyout where they pay for your school and get an education -- it is the smartest thing you can do.
  3. Yes and the Accord Hybrid, and Pilot 2wd
  4. Being they are the only plant making them now, If your getting an Explorer that's where it is going to be built :-)
  5. $18,985 is what a Fusion with ABS and Side airbags would cost so the Camry is a little less, but the Fusion has other things std (remote entry) So they are pretty close.
  6. Call Royal Radio at (248) 548-8711 Ask for Mike in the Garage he will be able to help you they know this stuff better than anyone. They do all sorts of OEM repairs, they do repairs for dealers in the Detroit area that can't figure out why OEM systems aren't working. I'm guessing it would be similar when I hooked up my Ipod Adapter and Sirius with my Lincoln Navigation system, when the IPod Adapter is plugged in a CDDJ button appears on the Screen and Disappears when the adapter is removed, Same for the SAT button, when the receiver is hooked up I have Sound, AM, FM (1,2 push FM button to toggle between them), SAT (1,2,3 push SAT button to toggle between them), CD, CDDJ listed as options on the right side, When I remove the IPod adapter it shows me Sound, AM, FM, SAT, CD, And if I remove the SAT plug, I get Sound, AM, FM1, FM2 (now 2 separate buttons) CD. The Head unit knows what is plugged into it and will show the appropriate Icon for it.
  7. http://www.radiosandmore.com/prod_detail.asp?pn=4047452 and http://www.radiosandmore.com/prod_detail.a...n=2U6F-14588-BA are what you need for vehicles without the rear seat DVD. if you have the rear seat DVD you need this one http://www.radiosandmore.com/prod_detail.asp?pn=4047453 Should be about $250 if you do it yourself, They can answer any questions you have. - You can also get it from the factory now -- Job 2 option. option code 85B, $195 includes 6 months of service.
  8. Refresh is a bit much, they moved the shifter, put in a new guage cluster, and gave it some new headlights and a revised front bumper (square to round fog lights, wow....), hardly what should have been done for a vehicle on the market for 4 years. The Mariner may have taken a few Escape sales, but not as many as you'd think. Most people surprisingly don't cross shop Ford and Mercury -- that is the reason they keep it (Mercury) around.
  9. Plus they were/are giving them away -- with a two year prepaid lease you can get a liberty for $1800! (that is $75 per month!) Granted you have to qualify for all the rebates, but still even if you don't you can get one for $3200 for the same two years. ($133 /month) The Cheapest Escape will run you about $4800, with one equipped like the liberty going for closer to $5700. This plus the Fact that Ford hasn't made Stability Control Std on it yet, it should have been std for '06 and it better be std for '07 or it going to be the only SUV without it. (It tipped up in testing and that is the reason CR won't recommend it, and CR makes a big deal of it) -- while CR has its faults a lot of people read their publication and that can cost you 3000-5000 units a year. The Escape is the typical Ford Motor Company Product -- Build it great to begin with and just let it Die in the market, never update it, revise it or do anything to it.
  10. 1/3 less single vehicle accidents in cars, and 2/3 fewer single vehicle accidents in trucks. Nasser for all his bad things did a few things good, and he was a huge proponent of stability control as well as safety (It along with side airbags was to be std. on all Ford vehicles for the 2004my) The focus was one of the first vehicles to get it as the system was developed for the Focus in Europe and as such the development had been done. When Ford switched engines over the 2004/2005 model year the new engines controls were not developed for the new engines with the IVD system. The other problem was that it was expensive -- 1,275 plus ABS if it wasn't std (ABS used to be Std on the upper levels of the car). so it was a 1,600 option, (It did include rear disc brakes and rear head restraints though) that cost would be much less today though. My problem is that Ford may offer Side-airbags or stability control but dealers rarely have cars with those options on their lots, and if they do they have $4,000 in other optional equipment.
