  1. Back to the line at DTP. About 20 or 30 of us got the temp. bid to go over and work on the P415. They are using the current body style right now (I guess they don't want us to know what it will look like). Right now I'm just enjoying building up frames with hand tools and an air ratchet, it's actually extended my knowledge of the truck a lot. Hopefully I'll be able to go back and work on the second phase in a year or so. :happy feet:
  2. Well I'll keep my ears open but I'm only going to be at the pilot plant till June 30th, so I doubt they will finish testing them by then :flexing:
  3. Well, I built up a frame last week for a durability test. That is where we set the torque to the lowest acceptable range and test it to see how it holds up. maybe that will give us a clue on how the axel holds up as well.
  4. I have not heard a thing about bad axels. As far as the first phase of the P415 we are using the same axels that go into the trucks now and I have not noticed anything wrong at the N.M.P.D.C.
  5. Last I heard it was about a dozen plants with the highest number coming from Wixom and Edison. Then there are the 5 or 6 parts/stamping plants. Some of those people were a trip when they came in. They had no idea what life was like in DTP (or DAP). my 2 favorite questions asked were "when do the truck's stop coming down the line?" and "even though we are scheduled 10 and we work 8, we still get paid 10 right?" All I could do was smile and say welcome tp DTP.
  6. I believe it's a tach. Teams from Chicago were just finishing the Mercury "freestyle" when I transfered into the N.M.P.D.C. (new model products development center or "pilot plant") to work on the next gen 150. I thought it was a Ford at first, they did not put any mercury emblams on it at all. It looked pretty good up close.
  7. whosure, I agree 100%. Seems I always do when you talk about getting rid of the deadbeats. :beerchug:
  8. Just the ones named Mark :banmolest:
  9. I've been saying that for a while now. Yes, seniority should hold some merit but if your a deadbeat you should not have a job period regardless of your time. IMHO if the company did this you would have a good mix of seniority both high and low that would be left that actually care about the jobs and would also make better quality vehicles. Right now I am working a temp spot at the pilot plant. I did not get it because I have 20 or 30 years (6 in November), I got it because I'm good at many jobs and have a perfect record. The guy I'm patrnered with has over 20 years and together we are building up frames faster and better than most of the other teams. That's what hapeens when a good work force comes together, that's how it should be. Let the good workers (old and young) keep thier jobs and get rid of the deadbeats!
  10. Sales were down for the month of April compared to last year, but total year to date sales are up compared to last year. I think someone from DTP posted "no o.t. till August", but I think it just means no downtime and the master schedual only goes to August.
  11. Did they kick you off myspace so soon ? :sandbox:
  12. Same with DTP. Nothing about added production here, 8 hours or less.
  13. ....but how many are only "temps" that make less and have no benefits?
  14. http://www.nathanielturner.com/laborsproblemrealwages2.htm so, communist or not. I'd say not and I have not had my kool-aid yet today :burnout: Walther Reuther has commented that his shooting could be the work of “Communists, die-hard employers, or a screw-ball.†In truth, the crimes could be laid to almost anyone. They remain unsolved at this writing. Reuther has his enemies, indeed. He also has his faults. In his drive against the Communists in the U.A.W., Reuther revealed that opposition irritates him. The anti-Communist drive in 1949 is a case in point. So was Reuther’s reaction to the supporters of Henry Wallace in 1948.
  15. NAP: all reg. and super cab's + FX2 KCAP: all cab all bed combo's + King Ranch DTP: s.cab and c. cab + Harley & Lincoln
  16. Well, I got the spot on the launch team. I will not be working on the 07's though. I will be at the pilot plant working on the 09's :happy feet:
  17. Could not say  ....but I know it went to NAP
  18. April 18 is when all the trim launch team members (from all three plants) go to the pilot plant to work on the 09MY. So NAP will have people there. NAP also got the new FX2, not DTP. I'm not counting NAP out yet.
  19. IT'S A FRIGGIN MOVIE!!! Why does the afa only pick on gay's? You don't see the afa demanding that wal-mart remove all the horror and slasher movies, I mean those can't be good wholesome family entertainment. I'm so sick of groups trying to force thier agenda on everyone, they more or less want to tell us what we can or cannot do because they don't want to risk thier family being exposed to something they don't like. How long before the afa starts to burn books, how long before they want to send people away to "camps" to be changed where does it end. This is America, to each thier own and live and let live. I, like most people take responsibility for myself and my family. If I don't think something should be exposed to my family, they don't get exposed. I don't go out and try to force my beliefs on the rest of the world. o.k. rant over :happy feet:
  20. launch sheet did not say. I am keeping my fingers crossed because I have an interview at 2:30 friday for a spot on the launch team. If I get it I will let you know everything I can find out (and disclose) otherwise I'll just ask the launch team next week.

  23. No OT here. We have been giving a production number for the day and when we hit we go home. It's been a few weeks since we even worked 8. They are keeping us on set number so they keep on schedual with the 07 test runs we are doing this month.
