Is this calling for caps on executives pay or will it call for their pay to be on par with the transplants??? Will the management structure be changed to that of the transplants??? I'll just bet this is why the plan was pushed through before Obama got in. I sure hope the UAW gets that cleared up and out in the open.

It's unreal that this is getting no attention. I would have thought that by this morning there would be plans to send bus loads of supporters to this location to help with this cause. Every union in the USA should be sending some form of support to this. Here's a good reason why they'll keep taking from the bottom of the food chain. We just keep allowing it!!!

Well since we all seem to have to be in the sacrifice mood. I wonder how much our state and federal elected officals are going to sacrifice? I wonder if there are some Stats. on their legacy costs? I'll bet it would impact things in a positive way if they worked for a dollar until they got the economy turned around!!! Since most people don't have medical coverage, shouldn't they work at the same level as most people in the country? It sure seems to me that they are out of line with the average pay of main stream America! Oh, and another quick boost to the economy would be to reduce our property taxes in all 50 states to the level of the new value of our homes and the states that don't have property taxes just return it in some other way. Let's let the states bail out the federal Gov. a bit for a change. We need to start throwing this back in their faces as there seem to be a lot of the pot calling the kettel black going on in D.C.

I wonder what America would look like if in WW2 the auto Co's did not give up their production to the war effort? Maybe the Politicians who seem to be having so much trouble with the American car Co's would not be so free to speak their minds! I think it's time to return the favor. Sure there's a lot of fingers to point. But maybe it's just time to rally around what's ours. May they never forget that a Dodge truck may have put out a fire and saved someone's life. Or a Ford Ambulance or police car saved someones life. Or that the the roads that connect the country were likely built by products from the big three. And all of those planes built at Willow Run and tanks at Livonia and many other plants during WW2. I'd love to see if a communist country will drop what they are doing and produce our planes, tanks and so on at the drop of a hat if we need them. We need to wake up and take a good hard look at who it is that is trying to kill off the rest of the middle class and steal our way of life. We need to really look at what's happening next door and down the block and not just in our own back yard.

I'm pretty sure that the only reason anyone wants to drill now is they know they'll get $150 a BBL or better for it. Gee, let's see... Who does that help? Just ask yourself how Bush has help so far!!! Unless your a CEO or speculator... If we had addressed this in the auto industry and had a plan in place for smaller cars a while ago, our industry would be on the upswing now. Our gas prices might be lower if we had reduced demand. Seems to me it's all part of the stealing from the last of the folks who can least afford it. Just wait a few more years and see how much you'll be paying for water. That's the next thing on the drawing board. You'll be paying a daily rate per the market price if you live in areas where the water will be trucked in or pumped in from a GE desalinization plant. Better really watch who's behind that !!!

On June 23rd Liv. will be going down to one shift on it's largest Trans. line. We will be losing over 350 people then. I'm being told some of the chosen few are going to be sent stright over to Wayne stamping. But for your question, I guess it's safe to say we have no openings.
