  1. What time does the meeting start, is it 11 or 12?
  2. I heard Millen on the radio the other day, setting things up so that if the Lions bomb again, it will be the coaches fault not his. Sometihng about letting the coach have what he's asked for to build the team, blah blah blah. Fire Millen now.
  3. nope, never have, never will, just do my time and go home to my family
  4. Some of this talk on here is just friggin amazing. It's funny how both sides of the coin are showing up here over this. I know, I know, the chairman and union appointments at every other UAW plant except local 2280 are hard working loyal honest noble people that are adored by the people they selflessly represent. Bullshit. I've seen more than enough UAW locals in operation now, and they are all the same. Trading jobs for favors, giving away your job so some druken turd can have his /hers back, taking advantage of anyone and anything they can to make their personal lives and the lives of their friends better, and this is blessed from international. If you think it's not your deluding yourself. Local leadership in all these plants spend as much time trying to screw each other as they do working for us. This is not a blanket condemnation of all UAW reps etc, there are very good ones out there who really mean well and try hard, but the system as a whole is broken and no one can/is willing to fix it. So bitch all you want, talk up how great whoever is in your eyes, there is someone right around the corner who will sing the complete opposite tune, and will swear to the the heavens that they know the facts, just like you do. Life will go on, people will get screwed, people will raise hell about it and nothing will change. Shit.....another pointless rant
  5. According to my buddy at Utica, 25 people are to report to VD on May 5th. He doesn't know about any more than that coming in the future. Replacing retirement buy outs?? Fits with the stuff I've been blathering about with the one to one retirement stuff. Just guessing about that. If thats the case, then this has been going on for about four years and it's old news then.
  6. I don't see how what I said caused you to get your pom poms out. Talk to your doctor, I think it's spelled xanax, ask him about it.
  7. Unfortunatley the sort of things your talking about are going on every day at every other plant, don't delude yourself into thinking otherwise. It is accepted and has been long before I ever worked for Ford. Is it right? No it's not. Is it going to change? LMAO, ummm no it's not. You should see the circus the union has going at the Rouge, hell you'd have have stroked out by now.
  8. I know people, well at least one person, from Utica that came while I was gone, worked with him in FN, real nice guy. I hear tell of one more where I'm at now, so I know that some people from Utica have been coming into the plant over time already. Just wasn't certain of the circumstances, hence I mentioned the one for one retirement thing. Talked to another buddy of mine over at Sterling this afternoon, have two friends telling me that somewhere around 80 people signed for RTBU, and they were told it would be late in the year when jobs opened up at VD. Trying to get ahold of someone at Utica now to see what's being said on that end these days. While I was still at AAI my buddies wife was still working at Utica. I think it was the December union meeting (he told me he went with his wife to it) they were told that no one from Utica would be going to VD until the fall at the earliest. That info is several months old now obviously so I won't hang my hat on it, but I will throw it out there. I'll post back if I hear anything from Utica
  9. Don't we have some trades people on layoff? Does the following ring a bell with anyone. While I was gone I kept hearing about people from Utica and Chesterfield going to work at VD. The way it was explained to me by various people was that VD was taking them in a one to one for the retirements from VD. Is that accurate or just BS from the rumor mill? If thats the case, are these Utica folks we keep hearing about part of that? Just wodering.
  10. The way my buds at Sterling told it to me, there was some negotiation about them coming back to VD, because when they wound up there, via whatever route, we still had the transfer agreement in place, in effect turning Sterling into their home plant. So yes, they are coming back under RTBU, and I would guess they would move back before anyone else, just a guess. I'm not too sure where the 75 openings are today with only one shift running in the mid range line. The revised launch schedule that was posted early this week still has the afternoon shift starting in Oct. I know, I know, that could change in the wink of an eye, but that was the last document I saw with my eyes about it. If we get people from Utica, well good for them, I don't care where they come from, we all work for Ford. It does seem to me, that the plant management and the local work pretty hard to make sure all of the original VD people that want to come back do, before they are inclined to take anyone else on, just my impression not an opinion so don't get your panties in a wad everyone. Go ahead, someone start a recall petition or whatever the union bylaws call for, I've seen more bellyaching on here than I've heard in the plant so far. I heard all about Seroka from the 6F folks, but other than that, not much has been said.
  11. I don't know what you said, I need friggin sunglasses to read it........christ man, relax
  12. No Chicago makes the Taurus and TaurusX, Dearborn and Kansas City are our F-150 plants.
  13. Oh hell, I should know better than this.......... So I was wondering about other plants, and their chairman, until a month or so ago, were they all wandering around their plants, noses to the grindstone everyday all day long? Maybe they were, I really don't know. I for one, never saw the chairman at AAI one single time and saw the chairman at DTP maybe once or twice. When I left VD Mod was charimen and I was convinced I'd never seen such a mickey mouse operation in my life. A little time away and experience has since changed my perspective when I got back to VD. Mod may be a drunken dipshit, I really don't know, but I do know that the union at VD is run better than my last couple of stops. Now I know I will take shit for this, but I have lived the "on-call" life before I worked for Ford and it sucks ass. I personally don't have a problem with the upper union levels coming and going as long as they are doing the things that are needing to be done. I don't have a clue what they do all day long actually, but if they are expected to show up at 3AM when something goes to shit, then I don't care. If they don't show up, or are neglecting, whatever in the hell it is they do, then thats a problem that needs to be addressed. Taking away the getting busted by the TV turd, is Mod doing whatever the hell he's supposed to do at VD, or is he not? I don't know myself, things seem ok on the surface to me, but I haven't been back very long yet. At first glance, we have three jobs that will be running balls out shortly, with the possibility of a fourth, or expansion of one. Seems to be some trouble with the trades people, but I flat out don't know what the issues are, and if Mod is screwing someone over there or not. I have to agree with VDTranswhatever, maybe not having a local agreement is a sign that Mod is doing his job. Times are changing kids, and if you think the company is pushing this local around, you need to get out more and see whats happening other places. BTW I heard it was around 80 people with RTBU at Sterling that have signed to come back, and they were told not until late in the year. Anyway.......fire at will
  14. LMAO, and thats leadership, please tell me that I missed the sarcasm here!
  15. What are you trying to say here? I don't understand.
  16. Very good question Fatso, it's too far of a reach to think that someone in VD is so gung ho about this merger talk that they teamed up with someone on the outside to bring this about. No, I think some petty anger is fueling this entirely from inside the plant, the question is who and why? Why take all of us down, not just VD, this kind of thing will impact all UAW plants to some extent, and in the court of public opinion we all will get fried again. You can be that the systems people are working the computers right now to try and figure out if there is a way to identify the person that printed those DROTs. Difficult task, but certainly not impossible. VD plant makes the trannys for the Focus, the Taurus and it's various versions, and we are launching a new line for the Escape, and later in the year the Fusion and it's variations, with other vehicles to follow. It's a good plant and a good place to work, but now some turd has made life difficult again. Once again, I'm not defending them for what they did, but I'm certainly not defending the person/people who made the call that brought all this down on us. The piece that I saw was basically a sensationalistic bit of alleged journalism. Deitz, that made for good TV if you were a reporter for the National Enquirer. Sadly, even the National Enquirer is right sometimes, even if their motives are shady at best. WDIV let one of their reporters get drawn into an internal pissing match of some kind and allowed themselves to be used shamelessly for cheap ratings. You can bet every plant, regardless of what company, has locked down to absurd ends trying to avoid another cheap shot by the media. I Wonder if this had been a Toyota plant, if WDIV would have wasted this much money chasing this story. Bah, I've said too much
  17. So ah, has anyone stepped up and explained why they called the news, and then provided them with time sheets that appeared to be printed straight out of TWOS? Not trying to exscuse these two, but with everything there are two sides to a story, and the other side of this story obviously is inside VD somewhere. It's a sad day boys and girls.........................
  18. Wow, I stopped going backwards on the posts to even see what this argument was about. I'll be interested to see what this is all about tonight, but I'll be asleep by then, someone will fill me in I'm sure when I get to work in the morning. Interesting chatter going on inside the plant today about all this, be a serious shame if this turns out to be someone inside the plant causing all of this.
  19. Yes yes yes, we all heard you. What are you some kind of mushroom, just pops up in odd places for no apparent reason?
  20. From my own travels, and experiences along with the people I have met, I'd agree with what was said in this post
  21. The Mazda managers way of doing things --------->
  22. Make the drive, hell walk barefoot on broken glass if it leads you somewhere other than AAI
