  1. Live rear axle in an Expedition/Navigator would mean a new unique rear floorpan with much high load floor and compromised rear seating package. Not going to happen! The new Expedition/Navigator are likely to be 2018 models with aluminum structure similar to F150. It will be interesting to see the transition plan for KTP regarding SD and Expedition /Navigator as I don't believe that Aluminum and steel vehicles can go through the body assembly equipment at the same time.
  2. 3.73 is a separate, self standing option not tied to HD Trailer Tow. HD Trailer Tow is included on most high series Expeditions.
  3. Thanks, Ice-capades. Looks like there won't be much change for 2016 other than Snyc 3. My guess is that 2017 will also be a quiet year for Expedition with the big change coming for 2018.
  4. Has anyone seen the 2016 Expedition order guide? I would be interested to see what changed. They should be out as the plant is taking 2016 orders.
  5. Modern auto companies have very little in inventory. Everything is delivered "just in time" to the assembly plant. I believe that the the real reason for offering limited slip is a competitive response to the Tahoe which features it as standard. My question remains as to why I would need extra parts inside the differential to do what the traction control does very effectively with the brakes. I believe this is why Ford has not offered limited sips for the past 10 years that Advanced Trac / Traction control has been standard.
  6. Surprised to see a limited slip axle now available. It is too late for me as I received my ordered King Ranch last month. I did get the optional 3.73 axle on my reg WB 4x4. How much difference would a limited slip make over the brake controlled Advanced Trac / Traction control system with a non-limited slip?
