  1. Almost all of the workers that I talked to that said they were voting NO said that they want a few more thousand dollars added to the signing bounus. Workers were spreading rumors for months that we might be getting $10,000. Then there was a tv news story in Detroit that said they had a inside scoop on a signing bonus of $7,500. When the $6.000 amount was comfirmed it pissed off the ones that believed the rumors. I tryed to explain to all of the NO voters the concerns that most of the YES vote supporters have but they still said that it will be ok to turn down the deal and that FORD would have to pony up. If this is why the majority of the NO voters are making a stand then what does that say about the level of mental judgement in our union. If this deal passes or not I will never be able to look at these workers again the same. They do not respect any leadership (they fully believe the IUAW is payed off from the company), they do not care about other UAW workers futures, they do not care what the public thinks, they do not understand about competitive auto wages, they do not care about anyone but themselves. This is very disheartening. Greed is like a cancer that has spread deep into the soul of these for the most part good people. We are not being asked to take a massive pay cut or accept the closure of multiple plants. This is a great deal for the world that we at this time are living in. If this was such a bad contract then why at this point is the voteing almost even? THE RISKS OF A NO VOTE OUTWEIGH THE REWARDS.
  2. Does any of the origional topic make sense to you guys?
  3. If we go on strike for a long time and the deal we get is worst than we are being offered now I wonder how many of you short sighted greedy workers will come on this sight and admit that you were wrong. I hope that it does not come down to a strike but if it does the only good thing that I will see about being on the picket line is that I can watch the scared and bewildered dumbass faces crying that thought they knew it all. You people act like you own the fucking company. Most of the workers I know are voting NO to try to get the company to give us a little more signing bonus money. Is this a good enough reason to go on strike? If it was not for Ford Motor Company and the UAW you would not have half of the shit that you have now. You NO voters do not want to understand because of your hate driven, I will show the man, greedy short sighted minds. The first things you NO voters will be saying next week if the deal is turned down will be things like " Fuck yea" "we showed them" "HA HA" but if we go on strike you will be saying things like " my bad" "Oh well" "whatever" "oops" " you said we would not strike "Fuck me" and you will be thinking things like "god help me please I am sorry for fucking up AGAIN" " I should of listened to the IUAW " " wow I guess Ford is not giving in fucking after all" . The picket line will be a very tense and volatile place to be with a divided membership. There will be name calling and possible fights breaking out. The media will record it all and this will make the non-union haters smile. This division is just what those down south Republican leaders want. You NO voters are the best players on their team. Remember before you do anything big in life ask yourself , "is getting the pleasure of what I will receive from my actions worth the pain that I may have to feel if I am wrong"? This is a good contract FOR THE TIMES that we are living in and it is not worth striking over. By the way I am sorry if I seem a bit worked up and have hurt anyone with the name calling but I have to support my family and I am just thinking about the worst case senario. You NO voters are gambling with my money and if you lose so do I! Ok I am going to go now and try something easier like getting my dog to say my name. At least I think that he is paying attention and is trying to understand which is more than most NO voters seam to be able to do. At this time THE RISKS OUTWEIGH THE REWARDS. If you still can vote: vote YES. http://www.freep.com...posed-contracts

  5. No I can not quit and find a job making nearly as much. I work on C crew at DTP and today is one of my days off. Please stop with the childish dumb comebacks you are only hurting your NO voting reputation. If any one of you people are reading this are unsure of how you should vote just read this guys posts. He thinks he is funny. Well he is in a Beevis and Butthead kind of way. ( MTV series featuring two heavy metal high school losers, making fun off everything that they did not agree with.) Is this the kind of person that you should listen to for a little vote deciding wisdom? Not all of the NO voters are pure dumbasses but all of the pure dumbasses are NO voters. THE RISKS OUTWEIGH THE REWARDS BY VOTING NO.
  6. I work production at DTP. I have 15 years seniority. Do you think that all of the YES voters are salary . You are one of the biggest dumb fucks ever to come on this sight. BY Voting NO you are gambling with my families financial security on a deal that is damn good for all of us non skilled blue collar workers. Grow up and get some mental help asshole.
  7. A strike is not the only recourse but there is a good possibility. That is enough to get me to vote YES on this NOT SO BAD of a deal in these dire economical times. THE RISKS OUTWEIGH THE REWARDS.
  8. They can quit right now and live happily ever after. Can the majority of blue collar workers do that too?
  9. Thank you for a seeing the big picture. A NO vote win is all that the NO voters might win.
  10. It is not that most NO voters do not get it. It is that most NO voters do NOT want to get it. Their gambleing with my money and if they lose I do to. THE RISKS OUTWEIGH THE REWARDS. If you have not voted yet give yourself some peace of mind( and a decent chunk of change) and vote YES.
  11. Like I said it is not because the NO voters do not get it. It is because they do NOT want to get it.
  12. I am on c crew so I have not been there since monday(tuesday morning) but it seamed from the ones that I talked to on my shift that it was about 50/50.
  13. You are right and some off the NO voters realize this but they are caught up in the wave of denial fueled by a lot of greed and hate. Pride and out of touch principles will be their ( and our) downfall if the deal is turned down and we have to strike.
  14. I am a production worker at DTP. What do you think that every single one of the Yes voters so far are salary? If we go on strike for a long time and the deal we get is worst than we are being offered now I wonder how many of you short sighted greedy workers will come on this sight and admit that you were wrong.I hope that it does not come down to a strike but if it does the only good thing that I will see about being on the picket is that I can watch the scared and bewildered dumbass faces crying that thought they knew it all. You people act like you own the fucking company. If it was not for Ford motor and the UAW you would not have half of the shit that you have now. You No voters do not want to understand because of your hate driven, I will show the man, greedy short sighted sub human brains. The first things you NO voters will be saying next week if the deal is turned down will be things like " Fuck yea" "we showed them" "HA HA" but if we go on strike you will be saying things like " my bad" "Oh well" "whatever" "oops" " you said we would not strike" "Fuck me" and you will be thinking things like " god help me please I am sorry for fucking up AGAIN"- " I should of listened to the IUAW " " wow I guess Ford is not giving in fucking after all" . This is a good contract FOR THE TIMES that we are living in and it is not worth striking over. THE RISKS OUT WEIGH THE REWARDS. If you still can vote- vote YES. By the way I am sorry if I seem a bit worked up and have hurt anyone with the name calling but I have to support my family and I am just thinking about the worst case senario. You NO voters are gambleing with my money and if you lose so do I.
  15. Where do you get that percentage. Just another stupid ass mindless prediction. While you are at it let us know who will win the World Series or something else that we can make some easy money on. Even it it was a somehow proven 95% it is still not worth the risk to me. I want this shit to be over with so I can just go back to enjoying my already well payed blue collar life. If we end up going on a long strike which could happen (not sure of the percentage of probability though lol) we will see how long the No voters cheering continues.
  16. I DO NOT GIVE A SHIT WHAT ANYONE ELSE MAKES . I AM GOOD WERE I AM AT FOR NOW. SURE I WOULD BE HAPPY TO GET SOMETHING MORE BUT WHEN I LOOK AT THE BIG PICTURE I REALIZE THAT FOR THIS POINT IN TIME I AM OK WITH THE DEAL THAT THE IAUW IS RECOMMENDING THAT WE TAKE. BY VOTING NO YOU ARE SAYING THAT YOU ARE ALSO WILLING TO STRIKE. TO ME AND A LOT OF OTHERS THAT IDEA IS JUST PLAIN FUCKING RETARDED RIGHT NOW. YOU MAY NOT FEEL THAT YOU ARE BEING GREEDY BUT THAT IS HOW IT LOOKS TO THE REST OF THE GOD DAMN WORLD. WHO WILL BE IN THE MINORITY THEN.
  17. Well I guess she is at least as smart as the college degree line workers that you know. A lot of the people that vote no will also be pissed at the ones that talked them into voting No if things take a turn for the worst. So , none of the No voters live check to check? I bet most of them do but they are to short sighted. If we go on strike a majority of the workers that voted No will beg to go back to work if it lasts to long and the deal that we get could be worse then the one being offered right now. Can you at least admit that these fears that I and a lot of others have is at least remotely possible? I say it is possible. THE RISKS OUT WEIGH THE REWARDS.
  18. The reason the transplants make as much as they do is because of our higher wages. Those companies do not want their workers joining a union. So they just keep the wages up close enough to make the workers content.
  19. My wife has a 4 year degree from the U of Michigan and can not even find a job that pays half of what I get with wage and benefits. If I told her I was voting this deal down here is what she would say. " ARE YOU FUCKING RETARDED" !!!!!! My ability with the new contract proposel is more than enough to help me support my family. I am not going to gamble and try to test the company with an outcome that COULD BE WORST WHETHER YOU CAN ADMIT IT OR NOT. If the deal goes south and the fears that some of the Yes voters have about the possible outcome due to the workers that just want to tell the Company and IUAW " FUCK YOU" come true there will be an internal conflict like never before. Do not let your hate or the other big mouth haters cloud your good judgement. If the IUAW and close to half of the membership are alright with the deal then is it really that bad and worth striking over? If the investers, auto news reporters and the majority of the American BUYING public see the offer as a NO BRAINER GOOD DEAL then what does that say about the brain of the angry "VOTE NO !!!!!! " crowd. Then again people understand that auto workers were not hired in because of their high IQ levels. If the deal passes the No voters might be a little pissed at the the auto workers but if the deals does not pass and we end up with even SOMEHOW(strike pay sucks) less then the Yes voters will be way way way more then just a little pissed.
  20. The deal we will get if it passes is better than or rivals. The company will not roll over easily. All of the other workers in other companies that went on strike in the past did it because they were trying to fight big cuts. Maybe we can just vote not to have a union at all since we can not trust them to look out for the best interest of the entire membership and see then how much we will lose whithout them in our corner. The lack of disrespect that some of you NO voters have for the ones that are doing their best during these terrible ecomomical times is disgusting to me and more importantly the general American BUYING public. Stop risking my fucking finances. VOTE YES WITH YOUR NOSE CLOSED AND TAKE THE EASY MONEY AND GO GAMBLE IT AND LOSE IT IF YOU WANT BUT DO NOT GAMBLE WITH MY MONEY . I do not need to learn from your mistake. Right now it seams to be a 50/50 division. Like yin and yang, good and evil, light or dark what side are you on? The only ones that agree with the NO voters are the NO voters. The rest of the majority of Americans will be outraged and even if some of you NO people change your position it will be to late. The whole idea of turning this contract down when unemployment is so high would be laughable to me if I was not going to have to feel the dire consequences that COULD result from a NO vote outcome. At this time the RISKS OUT WEIGH THE REWARDS. By the way if the deals passes I do not think that most of the No voters will bummed out to much when they buy something with the signing bonus easy money that the Yes voters helped them get. Just sayin.
  21. If the company was trying to make us take a big pay cut I would not vote yes but that is not the case now. The No voters that I talked to said they wanted more cash up front. I guess the workers that went around speading rumors of a $10,000 signing bonus got their hopes up a bit to high. I will say it again and again THE RISKS OUT WEIGH THE REWARDS at this time.
  22. I would like to see the worst outcome happen to you No voters if you get your way and this deal gets turned down. I would be joining the millions of Americans that would love to see the looks on your faces on the picket line when you realize what a mistake you made but I would also suffer financialy because of you stubborn short sighted haters. THE RISKS ARE GREATER THAN THE REWARDS!
  23. You already make way more than most unskilled people. The company will not raise fixed costs . They have to show investers that they pay competitive wages. If the company gives anything they will cut something else out. If Americans are told that Ford is not going to invest as much in American jobs by anything less than they are agreeing to now because the already well paid workers want more the American people will rally to do what they can to stamp the union out. If we were taking a big pay cut like some others have done than I would be voting NO along with you. The RISKS ARE GREATER THAN THE REWARDS. The No voters are gambleing with the Yes voters money. I wiil still be pissed even if I get something more because you took a chance with my finances which could of hurt my and lot of other families. I am good( actually great for my skill set) with were I will be at if the deal passes.
  24. I agree but because of the fact that we are voting as a team even the workers that are ok with the contract will suffer. If a strike happens the tension will be very high on the picket line. The odds of verbal and even physical fights breaking out will be good. The media is going to have a field day putting us on camera like a dying and endangered species. No one outside of the No voters circle will take sides with the picketers. The general public is going to love watching us divide. If the strike lasts more than a few weeks workers will feel the financial pressure and will give in to even a worst deal. This could turn out to be one of the biggest mistakes a NO voter has ever made and unfortunately the Yes voters will have to feel the the pain when the company starts the punishment. I hope that things do not get as this far but could it go down like this?
  25. How can you be voting no? I read that the voting was done at MAP. Almost half of the votes were a Yes so that is not everyone you are working with. Screw yourself if you can vote by saying No. I guess being a new guy you probally do not have much to lose if we strike. Hmm is that you Chuckie? :shades:
