Let's not tear down our brothers and sisters. With the job market and outlook the way it is, I think many are "just happy to have a job". If the choice is between no job and having a job, what would you choose? Even a job at Tier 2 wages is better than no job and better than many jobs out there.

I voted yes and am happy about it. I have no issues with what we got. Work for our plants and new hires that do get raises and benefits while we get numerous bonuses and have great wages and benefits. Does it bother me that salaried got a bonus? Nope. Does it bother me that they got a raise? Yep. But, we also have the luxury of a union contract and can keep our jobs by bumping lower seniority members while salaired workers just get fired. They have no recourse. While we do. Maybe youd want to be salaried where you could get fired at any minute and are working overtime and not getting paid. In the end our Entry Level workers are probably making more per hour (with OT) than many salaried workers. Would I switch places with a salaried worker? Hell No!!!

General, this is crazy--even for you--you and me both know Ford would have "given" us nothing. It was because of the UAW we get this time off.

I am amazed at how rare our paid holidays are compared to the rest of America. All I have heard from friends and relatives who don't work at Ford is how little paid time off they get. Most don't get very much paid vacation. Wow, thanks again UAW for another great aspect of our contract.

As some of my neighbors, friends and even family members have to work on Thanksgiving or the day after Thanksgiving, I want to thank the UAW leadership for their continuation of our paid holidays. How many do we get a year? 17 or 18? How many does the rest of working America get? 3 or 4? In many cases zero. Thanks UAW!

I believe it is over $15 and goes to $19 by the end of the contract. But as many have said, this is what we have to compete against. I know many of you greedy allegedly union brothers hate that word, but it is the truth. So, stop voting Republican and get off your asses to do something about the low wages in the South or you will see a continued attack against us in the union. You can't bitch about what you "should get" in a contract, when it is between $10-$13 an hour transplants we are competing against with no benefits.

Yep and with the contract we are set for 4 more years. Going to the Bears game to see them beat down on the Lions this Sunday with my buddies. BOUGHT WITH THE $$$ THE UAW NEGOTIATED!!! Thanks for the factual information. This is very helpful instead of the constant crying of the no voters who just say no. We do get a lot more in this contract. If we follow the no voters we would be getting less. What a bunch of idiots.
