I think head protection in a crash is cool, but I think that if FoMoCo keeps getting flak about "poor crash" this and that, it will really tarnish the brand name even though it has been fixed. Unfortunately, I cannot think of a solution at the moment, other than just keep fixing it. FoMoCo was correct to just go and do the recall before the feds start a crap-throwing contest.

This is nuts...Gov Pawlenty (Minnesota) pledged state dollars towards the plant to keep it open. His claim coincides with my belief that the plant could be used for construction/development of hybrid and alternative fuel engines and vehicles. Even if they don't want the Ranger anymore they could at least keep the plant open for hard working Minnesotans. Stupid. Ford needs to be the leader in hybrid and other new technologies to get back on top, instead of simply relying upon new flashy vehicles to satisfy consumer demand. This will strengthen brand image, keep jobs, and ultimately give consumers what they want. Seeing so many workers laid off and the company seemingly "giving up" is not what the customer wants.

I'm not a displaced Ford worker, but I am a soon-to-be displaced college student (i.e. graduation). I am tired of my current job, so this is a definite possibility! I am a criminal justice major, but the job pickings are kinda slim where I come from, so this is definately good news. Thank you very much!
