  1. Full size "global" Transit.
  2. The Volt is NOT all electric. At speeds near or over 70 m.p.h.or when the battery is drained down to a certain level, the gas motor drives the wheels. The Volts engineers are now just admitting some of this. I have read some tests on the Volt and the drivers averaged anywhere from 28 to 127.9 m.p.g. Someone is full of crap.
  3. Last time I looked, they were running 10 hours a day. It's been that way for a while now.
  4. Doesn't Ford of Europe build a hard top convertible version of the Focus? That might slot well in the new Lincoln lineup as a c-class vehicle. I think I might be interested in something like that.
  5. There was supposedly a 10 unit run of them this week at the plant I work at. Whether it happens or not who knows. I sure would like to drive one sometime.
  6. I was just wondering if Ford had any plans to phase out that motor in favor of the Ecoboost four cylinders before the current Escape and Fusion platforms expire.
  7. Does anyone out there have any information on how long this motor is going to be in production? I was wondering if was going to be around until the Fusion goes to the new platform.
  8. One of the reasons that the " OMG!!! KCAP is going to close because the tax credit bill didn't pass !" legislation didn't come up for a vote is that there were other issues pertaining to the bill. One, there were disagreements in the other language in the bill. They, whomever "they" are, want to be able to have these credits to companies come up for review every six years. Second, the state is wanting to the cut the annual amount of credits to businesses to around $60-70 million per year from a current $130-140 million. The bill is not dead. Ford is not the only company that this effects. It is only one the larger employers that benefit from this. That's why it makes the headlines. Relax KCAP ! We will be around for a long time. Now go back to sleep.
  9. The Escape/Kuga is going to Louisville. Bank on it! Word is that KCAP is going to retool for the Transit (Econoline replacement).
