  1. It does. It's not the greatest fit but it does. I had a trifold on my 13 that I now have on my 16. Cheers DRyanC
  2. Considering fuel economy.gov gives the 5.0 19mpg highway, 18 seems it. My dad is looking to move to a crew can but not sure to go Eco or not. What about the 2013 any word?
  3. I completely see why someone would want a fusion wagon. Who ever says an Edge handles well has been driving cube-vans all their life. I don't need 4WD, V6, or ground clearance when all I do is sit at red lights. A nice 6-speed 2.5 liter fusion wagon would hit the spot. For trunk size a Fusion is 15.8 ft3, a sedan Focus is 14.8 ft3. Not that big of a difference. The ZX3/5 hatches are not very sloped. Now go to the Focus, pop the hatch drop the seats, then go to the Fusion and try to put that TV, or what ever. Then look at the interior specs between the Focus and the Fusion: http://consumerguideauto.howstuffworks.com...rd-fusion-3.htm http://consumerguideauto.howstuffworks.com...ord-focus-3.htm Not that big of a difference. The only reason I think you would buy a Fusion is if you needed to put 3 baby seats in the back, Focus only fits 2. So yes go for the hatch Foucs, better yet see if you can find a good used 2006 Focus Wagon. Npw thats the problem isn't it, they will be 3 years old and out of bumper to bumper, doesn't work for anyone who is looking at new car. Mazda5 is cool but to mini-vanish. the C-max should be very cool, if it retains everything the current model is. Right now it's smaller that the mazda5 but bigger that a ZX5, If it gets to big then you have the same problem as the Mazda5 and it's just not a proper wagon. Wagons work, just don't mess with the suspension, Fix the Focus wagon rear end to be the same as all Focus models. I still want to add my Koni coil overs. Just my rant DRyanC
  4. Does anyone know of a button sequence to get ride of the extra wipe after using the wiper fluid? Driving around in the salt and slush it smears the windsheild because it waits too long and when it goes the window is dry. DRyanC
  5. You've missed his point. A sedan and wagon are not the same. I was in the same boat, wanted a wagon but when I went to purchase wagons had been finished for a year so I couldn't find exactly what I wanted. I did get a ZX5 but still wished I had got a wagon. Now when my 2000 dies it will be a wagon or the C-max, it's hard not to buy Ford when you get A-plan. The price for a Taurus X, I could have bought 2 focii. I'm comfortable with my sexuality and man hood that I don't feel the need to compensate. I don't tow, don't need 4 wheel drive, don't need 7 seats. A wagon is all what most people need for there main car. Buy one focus new, spend the rest on a used focus and build it in to a track car for the same as an X. DRyanc
  6. I would say my 2000 Focus has better fit and finish than my 2007. And for recalls, who cares, I don't pay for it. DRyanC
  7. I agree that it should be out now. If it's ready to sell everywhere else in the world then what's not right for it to be on sale here. Ford.com site say it will be out early 2010 as a 2011 model. No word on the .ca site I knew 2 people that were ready to buy a new car between now and september next year and really liked how the Focus ST 5 door looks. But with it being so far away to even be announced they went back to honda last week, got out of their lease early and no charge, and both bought Civic Si's for 25,000 CND. Who knows when the C-max will be out, so this means I need to keep my 2000 ZX3 running for what another 3-4 years before I can consider another Ford. Which is OK for me because my 2007 ZX5 isn't paid off for another 2. Then the wife gets it and it's either a ST Focus 5 door or a C-max with the 2.5T, otherwise.... It's hard to not buy a Ford when you get employee pricing, but.... DRyanC
  8. The C-Max needs to be here just as it is. With the Focus wagon and 5-door gone, their is nothing to buy from Ford. C1 or built from the C170 I don't care, it's for the wife. DRyanC
  9. I would have bought a fusion wagon. That is if I could get a 5 speed manual with the 4cyl with a real sport package. I couldn't even buy a focus wagon with what I wanted when I was ready. So I got a 2007 ZX5. Come 2 to 3 years when my 2000 ZX3 is ready to be replaced it will only be a wagon or hatch. A 1.6VCT focus wagon would be best but I'm guessing the C-Max will be the slot filler. Too bad because Koni now offers the complete adjustable coil overs for the wagon. I really wish I could have bought a focus wagon. DRyanC

    ZX5 brakes

I broke down and purchased a new ZX5. I have one concern. My brakes. When I try to brake "REALLY" slow I can almost hit the floor with the pedal, but if I'm hard on them they feel fine. Does anyone else's act like this or do I need to take it in already, Hasn't even been 24 hrs. DRyanC
  11. Hey everyone, Not sure if this is the right spot but, I was told if I could get an ambassador pin number from my father, a retire, I could get a lower price form Ford. We have never heard of this before, where do we find out how to get a number? DRyanC

    Job 1 job 2

Hey everyone, Anyone know what the differences between Job#1 and a Job#2 2007 Focus? DRyanC
  13. I agree with the C-max but not with the 2.5, or at least offer the 1.6 VCT. A 4 cylinder fusion wagon or an updated focus wagon/ZX5, why is the back seat not a proper 60/40 split. something like the 70 aussie 1600 or 1800 RS escort. Stop building sport models fully loaded something similar to a Mazda5 but also offer a 2.0 diesel SportKA, Puma VCT, Fiesta ST DRyanC
  14. Thanks, I forgot about the Kona's. But I've spoke with two dealers and they say their is no rack for the ZX3. I have the mounting holes in the doors for one but can't find one. BATINC say they hope to have some in 2 weeks but, who knows. You'd think a dealer would be able to order the Kona rack, at least not in Canada. I have a friend coming up from the states in 3 weeks so I guess I'll wait and see if BATINC gets any in. Unless anyone else knows where to get these racks. I want either of the two because the rack goes to the back hatch and not a 24in span like the sportrack or thules. DRyanC
  15. Hey Everyone, Anyone have a roof rack on their ZX3? I'm looking into getting one and I would like to see the rack before I purchase DRyanC
  16. I should have mentioned I'm Canadian DRyanC
  17. V50's start at 33,000 and run premium petrol. That would make 500-550 for a month on a 4 year lease. Thats too much. If I don't want an escape why would I look at an Edge? I don't need to tow anything. Maybe Toyota will make a Corolla wagon come 2008 redesign. New sentra looks like ass and way too expensive for what it is. If I could get a 2.0 in a Mazda3 hatch or even Mazda's 1.6 MZR. Thats why a 4 cyl Fusion is good on paper at 0.5% lease, thats 350/month taxes in nothing down, with out A-plan, but no estate. I have one Focus, which is why I've been holding off on getting another, I just don't want 2. Then I'll be screw to find a new Focus estate with a 5 speed in a couple weeks. DRyanC
  18. Well buying an escape defeats the purpose of buying a wagon. I want a car, I don't like the ride on SUV's, or minivans. The wagon Focus is gone, Taurus wagons are gone, now the 500/Taurus starts at 32,000! A-plan on a Fusion is pretty good, but looking for a wagon. Any word on a B or C-max? Is the Mazda2 going to be out this year? A used Mazda6 wagon is a better price but I want the 2.3 in it. The 3.0 is to thirsty for city driving. DRyanC
  19. I was at a Mazda dealership on the weekend and checked out the Mazda6 wagon. It is huge! But my only problem it it only comes fully loaded. Is Ford planning on building a 2.3 liter, 5 speed manual, wagon in SE trim? I need something for the wife to carry the baby and groceries. I checked out a Mazda5 and it's not for me too tall, minivan feel. The Mazda3 wagon is no bigger than my current ZX3. I also noticed that Canada does not get an S trim fusion. And we are paying 2000-3000 more for the same model, thats a scam! DRyanC
  20. I agree, the Brazil does not look very good. The UK one looks much better from the front. From the back they look close but it's the little things that count. DRyanC
  21. It's OK but I really want the model as it is now: http://www.mazda.co.uk/Showroom/Mazda2/Gallery/ not sure how to link things. I like the mini van look but don't want the extreme size, poor milage or crappy handling that is inherent with large vehicles. I like the Fit, but I don't like to fit's price, to get keyless entry your looking at 20,000 CND, before taxes, PDI, etc.. A 1.8 is pretty big for that vehicle, I would like to see a 1.4 MZR. What I would really like to see is a C-Max with the 1.6 duratec Ti-VCT, that would be nice. DRyanC
  22. You missed the point completely. Just imagine, half full/half empty, ying/yang DRyanC
  23. Well with that kind of logic "When compare the Fit to other vehicles on the road (F150, Silverado, Suburban, Expedition, Explorer, etc.) it is a death trap. Even compared to larger cars (Five-Hundred, Crown Vic, etc.) the poor Fit does not stand a chance in a collision." I can say that the drivers of the F150, Silverado etc... should then be charged with volentary man slaughter in any degree of an accident resulting in death or not. As well as everyone should be driving around in nothing larger than a C-segment vehicle. Image if GM make 40 A/B/C segment cars and only 2 trucks DRyanC
  24. I though about the mazda5 but it gets terrible mileage. The C-Max is shorter than the focus wagon so it's alot shorter than the 5. A V50 is well over in price than a focus wagon, but if I did have unlimited funds a V50 would be the choice for the wife. The Mazda6 wagon is only offered with the V6 and pretty much fully loaded. This car I need to buy will 99% of the time only see 50kph, 30mph. So I don't need horsepower, it has to get the same or better mileage than my current ZX3 but be under $20,000 CND. I would like to buy ford as my father is a retiree and I can get A-plan but come May I don't see any product that fits. I've been leaning towards the Versa from nissan or a matrix, but the nissan has the same luggage space as the ZX3 and I would like something with the space of a Foucs wagon but they are done this month and I'll be ready com may/june. The only problem I see with a Focus wagon is the interior, if I wanted a folded piece of cardboard to sit on I would drive a soap box car. Why can't they use the ZX5 interior in a wagon. I think I don't really want to have 2 Focus. which is why the C-max fit's now! I have a lot of friends that bought Honda, Toyota only because the don't like what For NA has to offer, but they would all consider Ford if they sold the European product here. But I'm just ranting to myself. DRyanC
  25. With the axing of the focus wagon has anyone heard of news that the C-Max would replace it? I will be purchasing a second car come spring/summer but with out being to order a Focus wagon, the biggest I would like to go, the C-max fits the bill. DRyanC
