  1. Shouldn't hurt that bad as the vast majority voted those jobs for your brothers and sisters away last contract.Did we think there wouldn't be layoffs with the combo of reliefs and no spa weeks? Also with the elimination of clawback anyone laid off now will feel this pinch now and next year at tax time.Wonder how many of those 104 voted yes to the contract?
  2. It is entertaining listening to all the pussies who voted for the contract now acting like they grew a pair.Fuck 80% voted for that garbage contract and that was the time to tell Ford to go fuck themselves.Who cares now...if it comes to a vote...vote whatever your personal situation fits best because there is no solidarity to me at Stap no longer. If you voted yes last time don't act all uppity now because the horse has left the barn.I assume most young people voted for the contract because they were the only ones that got anything so if you are looking for my support now dream on...you left 300-400 guys out on a limb(17-26 year guy)so if I could fuck any of the yes voters now I'd give Ford whatever they want.I could care less if it costs you childcare or you are such a pansy that you'll be dead after working 4 10's...lmao...poor bastard can't handle 10 hour shifts and will be a zombie after 2 weeks...lmao,what a puss.
  3. Unreal...somebody rushes you to make a decision on your life when you weren't yet comfortable and you decide to "trust" the ones that fed us bullshit for years.I'd hope you don't sign deals without understanding them elsewhere in your life and if you do that speaks volumes.I guess I could forgive you alittle if you are low senority,I don't think your offer would get much better but it passing sure did fuck us more senior guys. You folded like every union blowheart...no jobs=no vote. How many times we seen you on here spouting the line then in a 1 hour presentation by people you know you can't trust you flip like Smith and the rest.Moronic!
  4. No idea Ute...obviously 4 out of 5 people I work with are idiots.Sadly their boneheadness took down the other 20% of us.Why we settle for less then what GM gave to Windsor is assinine.I guess they didn't want Ford spending that billion they announced today.Sadly the 80% were born without spines, good little CAW sheep to the end.
  5. Couldn't agree more Stap...it's our fault we were hired young?Fail to see why a person with less time in would get better options.
  6. You didn't read my post.In the situation I'm in and alot of others(400 or so) the 125 option doesn't make sense so we are left with 2 years sub and milking a year from imp which is exactly what we'd get without this agreement.I'm happy you get 125 but for guys that have been there 18-23 years there wasn't 1 penny in severance for us that wasn't already in our agreement. So as I said for some 125 may be good but us with 18-23 yrs we got zero so not sure where you see a pretty damn good severance for those 400 or so people. If you are getting 125 you are most likely a low senority guy and the deal is better for you but us more senior guys have been left out.
  7. Wow sure caught me off guard.Hired in 87 and will have no buyout option.I'll get what I would of even without the closing agreement.(2 yrs sub 1 year imp)Can't collect pension till 2017.As the sister said at the meeting there is approx 400 of u in the same boat who the union did absolutely nothing for.Older guys with over 28 also didn't get anything.I'm guessing any yes votes come from low senority or the small group of 26-28 year guys. It'll be interesting to see Oakville and Windsor's take as their is nothing in stone for them other then losses to what they have.IMO I just don't see how thi has a chance of passing even with the union's scare tactics that FMC will leave Canada. I guess an ok for a young person that has a job lined up but everyone else in all locations sure took it without lube.
  8. Ya once again Ute you are out of touch.Barney can't even make it to work these days doing plant service...another lazy bastard so I could just imagine how great of job he would have done as chair. The only thing that could possibly get a yes in St"t is huge severance and even then I'd have a hard time voting for it knowing what a closure does to younger members and my community as a whole. There just doesn't seem to be anything there for any of us in any location.Heck looks like cars that are supposedly going to OAC are not till after 2012 so not sure that promise is worth anything as there'll be another contract.I'm sure most in Oakville realize if this is accepted there will be more concessions in the future or their turn to lose jobs will be coming.
  9. The convention centre is booked for a ratification meeting and if there is no contract to be voted on it'll be an info session. That is the line from the union.I heard the whole union reps are going to T.O(right down to FPS coor.)for the 26th.I predict a contract is already done and we'll be voting come the 31st...the union just needs their people in T.O. to make a plan to sell us grunts on the BS they'll bring back.JMHO.
  10. What a fucking idiot you are.You and Trim are quite the pair.Fortunately you two are in the minority of Oakville Brothers and Sisters...most actually have a brain and compassion.Ford pulls out of Canada you are fucked to moron. My gosh another moron to add to Trim's little block club.
  11. Yep...not sure I've ever seen the line grunts so united on any subject in my 24 years.I'm sure there would be the odd person to vote yes but I haven't talked to him or her yet.We are tired of this and I think we will stand strong to the company and union this time.
  12. Yep 1 year doesn't do it.Ken is coocoo if he thinks STAP will give up our contract for only 1 year.
  13. Xstapr...I agree totally on the top part of your post. It'll be interesting to see the closing agreement,I still fail to see how they are going to separate us from the rest of the Ford Caw workers but it'll be interesting. In Stap our agreement needs to be very very good,if not they have our sorry asses for a long time unless they close OAC and Windsor.Ford want to get rid of us at STAP young and old so it's their time to pay,if not sit on EI and wait your turn to tranfsfer. It's your right andf it'll happen sooner or later.Ford want new people making less money without our bennies,it'll cost them to get rid of us.I'm older but you young guys make them pay you or sit and wait, the money in severance isn't worth shit if you cn't collect EI till you eat it all up.Fuck em,collect EI now and stay with your recall rights,Ford that way isn't hiring no cheap labour in our country.
  14. I hear ya,I finally had to put trim on ignore list,my god he is annoying as a 4 year old asking the same question over and over. How people at OAC don't bother to swat the piss out of the guy is beyond me.Whew, cleansing breath,no more Trim...did the sun just come out?
  15. Oh ya Jaah...this is right out of the book of past closures.it'll be hard to tell the players without a program.Lewenza says we have no choice? What they closing OAC too now?Bah it's the same shit we seen play out in the states.Be good little sheep and maybe we can get something.Get us our closure package save the BS for another time Scott and Ken.It sure doesn't give you confidence of a good severance when Lewenza pretty well concedes Ford will get the new deal.No deal unless closure agreement is agreed to....then let the brothers and sisters in Oakville decide if they want to agree to the concessions.CAW played like this exactly when Sterling closed, fighting to the end supposedly.Fuck that, the union has alittle power right now that Ford wants the same deal as GM and Chrysler so the time for a closure deal is right now!
  16. No Doubt elec.I was trying to state that people in Michigan or his own plant did their best and tried to prove their worth doing extras and were still rewarded with closure.STAP has bent into a pretzel the last few years, talk to those in body and paint about the hours they worked and was that appreciated?Everything done so far to show the company we are willing to help has gotten us to this point....it should have been done a few years ago but a line needs to be put down till an acceptable severance or other options are made.If the company makes an decent package offer then I'd see no reason not to go the extra mile but right now the ball was just hit to our court and we need to hit it back.We need to say screw you till we get an acceptable severance or closure agreement, till then we do the job we are contracted to do and no more.I think this not only puts pressure on the company but also our union that needs to keep relations going for OAC and Windsor.I hope everyone lets their union leaders know we want a closure agreement in place sooner rather then later. If by some reason it isn't needed(which I doubt now) then we go by whatever the other CAW plants agree to.
  17. I work in paint. There wasn't any info given to us other then so and so heard it from another guy before we read it on AM980.They knew this yesterday so reason there couldn't of been a meeting or leaflets handed out at shift start. My check does say Ford as the payer but it also says CAW who takes their humk every month so IMO they need to acceot some also. This is no different from reading about layoffs in the paper, neither the company nor union has much respect for us peons on the line.I'm guessing paint wasn't the only area unless Jaah is a paint guy???Didn't seem to know either, but I guess it's pretty minor now. Time for the union to go back to the table with Ford and get the best deal for OAC and Windsor while getting us a respectful severance. We don't want to hear we'll fight this and so on,get a good severance made so we finally can get on with our lives at Stap! One more thing for God sake people,no more voluntary ot,no more working shutdown, let them find another way of cleaning their mess...no more nothing but do our jobs, nothing extra!Work to the T of the contract, the company and union will string this out but don't be sucked in like our UAW,CAW members who did extra and stil saw there places closed.
  18. I'm not sure why all the blame is on the company gocash...We heard it coming from Body and read it on AM980 website. It's not like the union told us where I am,we heard through the media like we always do.Union is as useless in these things as the company is.It would of killed both parties to hand out info this morning before Lewenza talked to the media???
  19. There is no doubt you are a turd burgler Ed...that I'm sure we agree on. #1 I've read a few times...think you need another edit pal "OTP was top quality, closed that, figure that out Einstein!"Atta boy the english as a 2nd language is paying off! Closed that?WTF are you trying to say?The question was that our plant chair made the flex plant goto Oakville,so not sure your answer makes any sense but no surprise coming from the source. #2 So we don't build for NYC anymore? There was no challenges to the NYC wants? You must know the answer to this pole smoker? #3 was based on Bill Russo's visit,so once again cum guzzler you are trying to speak to questions that weren't asked. I like the "call it butter or corn".What in hell does that mean?Does Trim have two accounts now?Ya we are the farmer here...LMAO I'm sure Corn holing was on your mind and lord knows you'd use butter for lube. Go away now Knob Jockey...stick with trim in your exciting OAC thread.
  20. Good comeback bonehead...I may not know the truth but I know when someone is full of shit. You know nothing like the rest of us you halfbrain!
  21. And how in the world would lowly Edsel no shit if any of these are fact or fiction?Got a scoop?Let's hear it....you knew Russo even visited Stap?Bullshit to all, another rumor monger like the rest. As for #1 never heard that one before,IMO(see not fact or fiction Ed)Whitey didn't have the power to tell Ford where to put their flex plant so that seems silly. #2 I thought this was a known,we were told no new product and our product was ending in 11. #3 Could have happened, once again these are negotiations and there are alot of serve and volleys going on with the company and union. The company wants a better deal so why would they say anything is going to continue anywhere in Canada, that's how they put pressure on us and our union to get a better deal. Once again only my opinion...I can't states facts or fiction like our full of shit pal Edsel.
  22. Not sure why we are talking strike, there won't be a strike if we don't get a new contract as we have a deal in place till 2011.
  23. Yep Staprap is a turd...Russo actually had good things to say about STAP and the job everyone is doing on safety.
