  1. Nobody knows on the floor what is going on this crap about closing should stop until there is something said people should just shut their mouth come to work and do their job. As for people knowing our plant was closing because of the buyouts? don't they know that people that are entitled to receive a full pension do not get a severence package? So why would ford offer 700 buyouts if we were closing. You people make me laugh on how much of your spare time you waste trying to figure out what is going to happen.
  2. Thank you everyone for all your kindness, it is a tough time all I can say is get out of there when you can and enjoy your life outside of Ford.
  3. Thanks UTE for your comments, my father did not want anyone to know about his situation. I will keep the family name going as long as I can, I will do my best to take over for big AL.
  4. The first town car goes through the system August 28 and Job one is early January]
  5. Hey just curious what are some of the cut off Master Numbers for the postings. 601 and 602 UG relief are going to almost 15000
  6. What is the problem? working till 5:00 in the afternoon, starting at 8:30? Production will be working from 7-5:30 so come and complain to someone on the line. At least you don't have tag releif where as soon as you start your shift you go for break.
  7. If you have a copy of our contract book you will find a section dealing with voluntary seperation. I am a little fuzzy in this area but on option starts at 42500 for 5yrs and goes up 2000 per year after that. Another option starts around 28000 I believe.
  8. I agree the UAW laid down the foundation for the buyouts, which were better but our plant is not closing at the time so we are almost par with the UAW on packages. As for building 170 000 cars, it is possible, but with a shit load of OT. I say bring it on.
  9. Who say's this car won't be built here at STAP, how is the writing on the wall for us, are you in on the planning for this car, are you in charge of where the new products will be built? Ya maybe the Wizard guy is correct or maybe he is full of shit like most of the people who talk on here.
  10. As for the Town Car I would think that it is on it's way due to the month of July being our shut down to re tool. Hopefully in early Jan we will have a understanding of what will be taking place in the near future as for layoffs and how much production we will be doing. As for the dog F@#&^%s the union needs to let the company deal with them the way any other normal company would. I like the union and what they have done over the years since I have been there but if there was no union I would keep my job.
  11. Thanks for the great report, it's not everyday that someone says something good about our car.
  12. I totally agree I wish Ford had the abililty to fire the people they wanted. If there was no union I would keep my job and the dog Fuc$#%s would be gone. The people that are taking days off because they are tired from there second job should be gone. Make a decision keep coming to work everyday or leave for your second job.
  13. Well said on the dead weight but as for the classifications I have to dis agree on that. I hope they never part with the classifications. That will get rid of alot of good jobs, for example the fitter jobs the would be able to add any base work to them because they are not a fitter classification, or repair or QC. Hey lets make the material handeling guys deliver stock and then have them do a little FPS work in there spare time. Some people just don't get the importance of job classification.
