  1. when you do order t post up the vn one of the boys n the plant wll follow t
  2. well it feels like were zombies when were building all those taxi's you see in that movie !!!!! back to OmegaMan ..great line wen hhe talks about the Ramccharger 15 forward speeds and 4 reverse
  3. normal stuff for any of the CVPI's we build nothing special most DSO,s police we build have lock rod delete and radio delete and keyed alike the only unusual thing there is location of trunk switch left of dash ...most are in the center of dash if you want to see some different stuff we have fire suppression/Kevlar door inserts /Kevlar trunk liner ( bullet proof in other words) and don't forget the few that Had superchargers added i believe close to 400 hp i believe Panthers Rule Baby
  4. back to what someone said about the average age of the CV buyer hmmmmmmmmmm don't see to many LEO's at 70 years of age also how do the D3's make out in a 70 mph rear impact .....i sure would not want to be in the 500 (oh sorry whats it called again ) and again i go back to my previous point free advertiseing in every movie/tv shhow with police in it
  5. can anyone say product placement ........every movie / tv show that has police in it has a CVPI thats brand recognition Ford is retarted to give that up ...thats alot of free advertiseing 80% market share of LEO rides to give that up is just DUMB why do the Saudies buy the Vics then ???? they can buy any Ford vehicle they pic the Vic ...any other Ford product able to say that ???
  6. this is so true the line does need to be drawn all take and no give by the company
  7. that being said ...what about the contract ?? i belive the limit is 10hrs vollantary after that .............so whats the union saying ? to that or is it like when we lost the reliefmen (i know there back now but at the time it did break the stap agreement)
  8. whats the union saying ?????? when we worked 12's in cai we would leave early when there is a p*ssing contest they have to go by the labour laws ......so you would get a lunch at the 10 hour mark ...30 min
  9. hey i like that .......i think the guys and gals at stap would as well wasn't it Jordon on rear fascia tie down (line5 trim) who did the p*ss on 10 hhrs t shirts......see if he might want to do these
  10. agreed t is alot to do with what the LEO's want....it doees seem like Marathon all over again Bloomburg is another problem....hybrid what ???? what vehicle in the line up can match the CV taxi (rear seat leg room....high millage engine 500,000 mile ability)...bring back the NG CV would this be hybrid enough?? is the Magnum enough for the LEO's ??? i don't think so ..small/slow/fragile will STAP survive as a DSO only plant ...as long as Ford makes money there........ the canadian dollar is hurting the plant now
  11. Austin ...you have it a bit wrong ...STAP was one of the first atempts at a "flex" plant we built the escort/lynx/exp/ln7 with the frame crown victoria / GM so it was front wheel drive 4cyl unibody with the other units being body on frame V8 we built the 2/4 door escort and wagon also the 2/4 door wagon vicky / GM the moon buggy area is still there for install of engine from underneith the unit the clam shells are still capable of wheel base from whatever the escort was to lwb Vicky/ TC skids are still for the same all platform setup for paint shop the only "hard setup" is in body whhere the KD is now gone ...but i'm sure that the Kawasakis could be programed to handle this so imo its up to the glass house as to what they do as for the falcon .. w don't need that headache ...sure a great vehicle but look what happened to GM when they brought the holden here !!!!!!!! pontiac..could not capatalize on the mystique that was holden even calling it a gto .....how many did they sell last year 8-10k ???? it just dosn't transfer to NA
  12. My advice apply for the post's ...you will find out as i did
  13. great reply i agree with all that you said to the next chair ..good luck in the next 2 years
  14. True i am out of the daily loop ... as for Laurie doing whatever ...well i did work with her and would not be surprised the thing I'm pi**ed about is how the union "pushed " a untested/untried person for the chair spot am i biased because when i went to go for the time study position i was told "don't bother we have someone else for that position"...(ie. scott).....NO....(but this is the same situation where due proses is not followed) the guy i wanted to see win is out Barney......so its a moot point i just want the membership informed as to what is going on the 3 committeemen i talked to i trust and have know for a long time they would not exaggerate about the meeting
  15. Well i can say you my friend are dead wrong ...remember i have no vested interest in this election as i am a retiree but i am in contact with union reps that are my friends and when 2 of the 3 i know confirm this meeting i take it as the truth i just want the young ones left at our plant to make an informed decision i only found out about this Friday ... if i had know earlier i would have posted it myself ....so if you want to jump off the cliff with the other lemmings ....go ahead i hope some will be informed again i cannot say anything for or against Tucker as i have had no dealings with him ....but as for Scott .......he has no experience line or union ( and don't tell me he controlled the bid proses when we left ..any swinging dick could do that ) be a informed voter
  16. I can confirm that a meeting was held by Whitey and that Barny and Tucker were asked not to run as to the rest ...i cannot say why Whitey would not let "due proses" take place shows that Scott could not win the election on his own merit again i say think before you vote
  17. well thats good to see ...i'm glad enough of you just didn't follow blindly make your decission wisely ...think ...don't just be a lemming can you post up the numbers for me ??....just wondered how many Barny got compared to the others thanks
  18. "I don't think the in-plant would listen to Proudfoot or Tucker. Proudfoot was only an alternate who needed help all the time. " (quote) well you sure do have that wrong whenever i was on the floor with Barny he was the goto guy if you had a problem ..i never saw him once falter ..always in charge as for in plant committee all the meetings i was in he ideas and opinions were well received and respected again make your own choice but just ask the candidates the tough questions ...its your future..don't screw it up
  19. yes Proudfoot is an A shift guy as a alt to Frank Doyle he was on the floor allot about 60% of the time i was an alt myself and saw him work he always controlled the situation and did what was necessary to remedie the problem he is no management Patsy i suggest talk to him and ask him the hard questions ..he will not BS you
  20. I don't know why you guys would even consider electing Scott he has NO floor experience ...gift position as well sure he gave it up but only because I'm sure he was told it was "for sure" he would be elected At least with Proudfoot and Tucker you some experience ..to at least speak up at the National level
  21. ha ha ha ...glass robot down !!!!!! things never change ....is that Neil Babcock walking that baby through...anyway looks good
  22. well i gotta say i sure would not want a guy with no floor experience being my plant chair ...Scott .....Scott who ???? i worked there for 30 years never heard of him ...never seen him his low seniority and 'gift" position of time study shows me he has no "real" world floor seasoning i don't know guys i would want someone with some balls as an alternate myself i was in on a few meetings with Barny and management he handled the situation perfectly as for being "only" an alternate ..i can't speak for him but i would say why give up fps for committeeman when you can be an alternate and be on the floor 40% of the time and keep your floor job never had Darren rep me but do know him seems ok ...but i don't know him enough to make a call on him it's up to you guys i hope the bus had big wheels ( so what happened to him ???)
  23. you gotta "know" Tony but with Barny (Brian Proudfoot) running i would vote for him ...i have had Barny rep for me before ...very honest knowledgeable the company will not put anything over on him You guys would do well to elect him
  24. don't forget the first break of our contract was the elimination of the relief men ( when we were on 2 shifts) it was written in the contract that there would be relief men for the life of the contract (get it out and look at it) there was no referendum for this decision it was just "done"...what the hell!!! so who is running ???? i personally think Tony Gilmore would be a good choice if he is running to bad i can't vote now guys keep it cool and stay sharp on this ...its your future your voting on
