Well, I took it in yesterday and was informed that Ford might not offer to fix the tranny as of yet. I told my service guy to tell them that I refuse to take my car back without a fix. I also told him that I fear for the life of my children whenever I pull out of our street and the car just rolls. Honestly all I care about is getting my trans fixed. I only have less than 11 months left on the lease, so lemon law is pointless. So we will see, they are going to call Ford on Monday.

I do when I get on the freeway because it is up hill and moderate acceleration. I have no idea what it is and never took it in for that concern. When I take it in today I will see if it does it getting on the freeway.

I know, I need to. I just feel bad since I am part of the Ford Family with family working at the dealership. Good thing is I would just get another...

Anyone having a problem? When I come to a stop 90% of the time I get a shutter or clunk coming from either the driveline or the rear end area. On top of this new problem my trans is shifting crappy again. I almost got TBoned twice because the trans would shift, I just rolled into traffic till the trans finally kicked into gear. I am leaving it at the dealer for as long as they need to try and fix it. If not I am done!!!

Why do these cars keep popping up on my posts?

I am from SOCal and I have the biggest POS 07 Expy. Dont get me wrong I love the Expy BUT NOT the problems I am having. I have one of the first ones sold out here and they can not fix mine. They have done many TSB's and NOTHING... Now I am having a problem with the rear end slipping at the same time I am having the trans problem. I am leaving it at the dealer till it is fixed, if not Ford can give me another one.

Hi, Thanks for writing back. That would be great if you could help me out in this issue. My built date (I think) was Aug 20th 2007. I know it was the first one sent to the dealer (and sold) I am sure this is what I get for buying the first one off the lot. I am going to the dealer in the morning and I was also going to request an engineer from ford to come check it out. I know they have been in contact with them but I think they need something more than just a reprogram. I love everything about my Expy but the trans... I am glad to hear that the ones built later are not having problems... Thanks again and PM me if you need more information.

Model (XLT, EB, Limited or KR): LIMITED EL Drivetrain (2WD or 4WD): 2WD Tires (All-Season or All-Terrain): Axle Ratio (3.31 or 3.73): Average City MPG: 10 Average Hwy MPG: 13 is the best I have seen in a few months Average Overall MPG: Gauge says 12 but when I fill I am getting 10 Driver Personality (Light-Foot, Moderate or Lead-Foot): MODERATE because if I don't the trans will never shift... I have tranny issues so don't base anything off of mine...

Just got a call today that they have a new updated fix for the transmission in the 07 Expeditions. I do not have a copy of the TSB as of yet but will post when I do. I hope this works because I am so done with ford right now. My tranny is horrible and I am getting 10 MPG right now. I dont even like driving it anymore. I am considering lemon lawing it and buying a used 2005 Excursion, those were the best...

I didn't think they made that option on the new Expy's. We have the split bench in our F-150 and I find that my 07 Expy is way more comfortable and more leg room. Good luck in your search...

Thank you... Now to make the choice of which truck to put them on... The F150 is silver so it would look good but I think it would look better on mine.

My husband thinks that the wheel bearings on the trailer might be locking up which would explain why I had a hard time pulling. He said when he towed it with his truck he could feel the tugging but since the truck starts off in 1st it didnt struggle as bad. Now I need to go out and get another trailer to test it out...

I just purchased some take off's (rims and tires) and I am debating on putting these on my 07 El. What do you think? They are Katana's with Toyo Proxes S/T size 305/40/22

I just purchased a set of take off rims 22's with Toyo tires size 305/40/22 will I have a problem with these rubbing? I will be putting these on my 06 F-150... If they are to big I might just put them on my 07 Expedition EL... Thanks

Mike, Mine started sqealing really bad again so I did the same thing many times yesterday and I would say 80% is gone. Atleast its not as loud as it was before. It's really is bad when you have this nice new car that squeals so loud, people turn and look at you. I heard organic brakes are better, but do they wear faster?

Please do let me know. We were thinking about buying a toyhauler but now I am scared to. Oh and to top it off while towing the 200 miles, I got a whopping 4-5 miles to a gallon. We went through over a tank and 1/4... I am probably going to take it to a different dealer and see what they say.

I borrowed a friends ultra-lite trailer and went about 200 miles away with it. My 07 EL could barely pull it. It only weighed approx 5500 lbs. Going up the grapevine I could barely even go 30 mph and we had the overdrive off. I am very frustrated with this car and I keep taking it in and they do a re-flash on the PCM. I was told that Ford has no idea how to fix the bad shifting, but to not even be able to tow a small trailer. We hooked the trailer up to our 06 F-150 and it pulled it great, which I wasn't to pleased. Please let me know how your 07 Expy is towing???

Yes that $2000 comes off the purchase price even though its a lease.

Hi Mike, I found these on sirius website you could probably get any of them. http://shop.sirius.com/edealinv/servlet/Ex...ldParentID=7870 The free 3 day trial is for on your computer to see if you like it. After checking some things out I think you can have sirius installed at the dealer and it would play through your stereo since they are already set up to have them. Also best buy has an aftermarket one that can install in the car's radio.

I get the same, but its better than static sound... In the canyons though it comes in so nice, but if you are in a underground parking or under an overpass it does go blank for that time. Usually just really quick.

They did it because they dont want you to lemon law it! Gosh some service departments are sooooo bad! A re-flash isnt going to help. And I hate to report that my 1-2 shift is doing it again but not to bad. I wont lemon law for something like this. I just hope that when I get my 09 that it will be fixed by then. I'm also shocked to say that today we will be trading in our F-150 for a Honda Im actually sick thinking about this. I am such a true Ford owner but since my husband works for Honda it makes sense that their Service Manager drives a honda. I hate to get rid of the 06 F150 since it is such an awesome truck with NO problems but its a lease and we are way high on miles so it makes more sense to sell it than turn the lease in. Now it opens the door for me getting a F250 in the near future since the payment on the Honda will be so cheap. Ok sorry for going off topic...
