Is it true that if you are a senoiritied employee and retirement eligible, and you opt to stay, not retire, and they do cut wages your retirement will be based on that new compenstaion rate?

I am a big union fan.What the UAW Local leadership has done at TCAP is nothing short of amazing..rehires, keeping the plant open thru 2011, President's Award for quality.......but I agree, for the UAW and the Company to survive, sacrifces will need to be made.Drawing the line in the sand at this time will cost us all.I greatly respect my Chairman and Bargaining Committee.

If you had the hours, sounds like you met eligibility requirements. You are entitled to up to 12 wks under federal law.Did they code you wrong as a medical leave? Get your UAW rep involved. This sounds all wrong.
