  1. I picked up ins. from my wife's employer thinking that that would help with the "no payment for office calls' by the VEBA. Her ins. is managed by Medical Mutual as well. We have had several claims but all we get from M.M. is a bunch of forms to fill out (same ones over and over). They can't even decide which one will pay.
  2. The lease is up on my '07 Five Hundred; the buy-out is $17,640.00. Kelly blue Book is $15,495.00 and my dealer has comparable '08 Taurus's on the lot for $16,499.00. I called Ford Credit to see if they would renegotiate the buy-out price. No way, they weren't interested!
  3. Go to www.employees.ford.com then click "discount market place" in the menu on the left side of the page.
  4. The number is also listen on the Ford Employee's site. I've never been charged for their mistake, when they sent the correct part they also sent a pre-paid UPS shipping label to return the incorrect part.
  5. Toyota Motor Manufacturing is hiring Spanish-speaking workers and teaching them English to tap into a growing labor pool of Hispanics near its assembly plant in Georgetown, Ky. In October Toyota brought in the third group of trainees under the program, which began in July 2005. About 20 trainees are studying English as a second language while learning production jobs and the Toyota Production System. They earn a starting wage of $10 an hour. trainees will spend 75 percent of their time in the classroom over the six month programm. They can earn a raise to $13 and hour then $14.50 as temporaries. the goal is to hire the trainees eventually as full-time employees.
