  1. I currently own two Lincolns, aMKS and an MKX. I will be replacing them in the near future and would have like to but a 2024 Nautilus unfortunately I will never buy a car made in China. The US has already shipped too many job to China and it’s disgraceful that Ford/Lincoln will be doing it.
  2. Currently, Mercury dealers just don't have the vehicle slections to draw folks into showrooms, especially younger buyers. If they are ever going to develop buyer loyalty, they need to appeal to a wider demographic. They have no small fuel efficient cars and no updated crossovers. They do have the totally outdated, Panther friendly Marquis and a Sable that while a very nice car, just has no pizzaz. The Milan is the only car that even hints as modern. Overall, their vehicles just do not draw in buyers. I totally agree that Ford should look to import European and Aussie models and badge them as Mercury. They also need to persue a strategy that is more than just rebadging Fords. They need to differentiate their products from Ford. The have terrific looking models outside of the USA and it's time we starting them in Mercury dealerships and soon.
  3. I am not hearing any buzz regarding new Mercury products. Can we assume the Mercury Division is on the chopping block?

    2008 Ford 500

I have to admit that I am very disappointed by what I've seen so far. I know we were only promised minor changes, but considering how bad Ford is doing in the marketplace due to their undesirable car lineup, I was hoping for a little more than just a tweak. Based on the spy pics, the car is basically unchanged. A different grill and a few light bulbs in the rear will not help was is seriously wrong with the boxy, out of date style of the 2008 500. As far as the interior goes, I have a Freestyle and the narrow driver's side floor space and cheap materials are definitely a problem. If Ford has a shot at longterm survival, it will have to make BOLD changes to its lineup.

The way forward is way too slow! It's no wonder that Ford is dying. Unless they start delivering a full range of competitive products and soon, Ford won't have a tomorrow to worry about.
  6. My current ride (old reliable 1996 Sable) is at the end of the line. I've been anxiously waiting for the repowered 3.5L 500 to come out. What's the latest word on when it will be intriduced and when it will go on sale?
