  1. Jeez, the CTS is rather big, it must be nearly the size of a STS
  2. Is this thing supposed to compete with the CTS?!? If so, it's not even close - inside or out.
  3. The Fusion's interior is dull as a dishwasher.
  4. You didn't answer my question. What you did is known as spin.
  5. You do if you want to be in compliance with federal accounting rules. I don't believe anyone expects any of the domestic automakers to have profits worth mentioning before the decade is over.
  6. Yet they are selling enough to be Americas #1 selling roadster. And yes, the Sky does partially compensate for the Solstice. BTW - what is the selling rate for the Miata in the winter?
  7. Actually, this is what I've read: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1194388847...l?mod=djemalert
  8. I've seen or heard an LSx engine that was unpolished, noisy or rough. I can't even recall any of the girly mags making complaints. Maybe the engine you heard was cammed with longtubes.
  9. Why was the CRV also down 21% last month? Do people not like Honda's CUVs and truck?
  10. I'm not saying you should totally exclude special charges, but if you want to see how there automotive business is doing it would be foolish to include special charges. Was Ford's automotive business doing so bad that they lost 12.7-billion? No, much of that was due to restructuring. For example, if GM earned $6-billion from GMAC and their auto business lost $3-billion - they made a $3-billion profit. Does that mean the automotive business is doing well?
  11. Were are done here. Have a nice day.
  12. Exactly. These are automotive companies after all.
  13. No. He said companies like Ford should focus on volume cars not performance. GM seems to be doing both.
  14. Umm, you're comparing sales figures to the first year when the car was red hot. It's down 17% for the year, but GM will STILL sell the same amount of kappas as they did last year. They've shifted production to make more Skys (up 47% for the year). They have also raised the price by $2k.
  15. Can you do both - Malibu, Enclave, CTS, G8, VUE, Astra, Aura, Acadia, Silverado, Tahoe, etc?
  16. Wise up man. The Mustang isn't a sports car.
  17. The exact response I expected. Mustangs are lined up near here too - is the sky falling? The car is now 2 years old and it's winter - don't expect people to be lined up like they were when it first came out.
  18. I thought we were talking about sports car selection? If you want to talk reliability go to the cusumer reports forum. From what I see, the Solstice had its MSRP raised $2k and it's STILL the best selling roadster. Take note: When you don't have an argument try to brush your opponent away with I'm-so-jealous-stereotypes.
  19. Umm, Solstice and Solstice GXP? Hello!?!? The best selling roadster in America. Heck, with just those two cars Pontiac will have more excitment than Ford, Lincoln and Mercury put together.
  20. Gas prices have been going up and down for atleast 5 years now. I know I've been hearing $5 gas is coming within 2 months for the last 5 years. $33k is fully loaded. The cars starts in the mid $20s. If people are willing to pay $30k for a Ford (Mustang), I don't see why they wouldn't for a Pontiac. People also said nobody would buy a Pontiac sports car yet it's the best selling roadster in America.
  21. What is hard to understand? Excluding the accounting exercise they lost 1.6B.....mostly due to GMAC. The automotive business was profitable and has been for all 3 quarters.
  22. Yeah, those nearly 40k people per year that drop $44k-$70k on Americas best selling sports car (the Corvette) are nobodies...... The Solstice is best selling roadster in America for 2 years straight yet nobody buys it.....
