  1. My Brother is the company controller and financial analyst for GAPAC. He has worked for them since 1981. He buys nothing but Fords. I buy GAPAC products. If this article is true, I've never been more proud of him. I can't wait to let him read this article and I may report back concerning it's validity.
  2. This is what I have always believed to be true. Can you tell me where to find it in the contract? I have been looking and can't seem to locate it. Thank you
  3. Tell the truth. If you could do that you'd never leave the house.
  4. I think the Big 3 should have pulled out of NASCAR the day they announced they were letting Toyota in. There was a time that I went about 8 NASCAR events a year. I haven't baught a race ticket or purchased any NASCAR merchandise since they let Toyota in. Nor do I support any company that sponsors a Toyota race team.
  5. A buddy of mine baught an 09 F-150 last week. It is incredible!! I have always loved Ford trucks. I have 2, a '97 and an '04.

  7. QUOTE (DUCKRACER @ Dec 9 2008, 02:31 PM) I am not a Ford employee, so delete this if you must, but I am a lifetime Ford lover. I am tearing up I am so proud of Ford. I am so glad that politicians like Pelosi, Reed and BO won't be designing Fords. May God Bless Ford and all of it's employees. Thank you. Most non-Ford employees that come on here hate us. God bless you to brother and thank you for loving our products and supporting us. Is there any way you can tell us how you earn a living maybe we can return the favor? I always try to do business with people that I know supports us.
  8. " Not when we've got self-righteous republican prigs pounding their chests and exhorting about how they're going to protect the American taxpayer from the greedy no-account union workers! " Last time I checked all of us greedy no-account union workers were taxpayers, at least until we loose our jobs. Maybe they forgot that part. If we loose our jobs because we didn't get the LOAN, maybe we should all tell them they can pay our mortgages with the bailout money they gave the banks!
  9. My uncle worked for GM. When he died my aunt married another man that worked for GM years later. Her three kids all drive foriegn cars. My dad worked for Ford. I work for Ford. Me, my brother and my mom all drive Fords. My mom got remarried to a guy that drive a Meredes. The first time I met him I told him I could get him a discount on a Ford. He still has his Mercedes and I'm still working on him. He agrees with everything I say on the matter so maybe when he buys a knew vehicle it will be a Ford. My mom will probably kick him out otherwise. Other than that he is a great guy and treats my mom well.
  10. I agree with putting these peaople on the line that say we make too much money...........Let's wait til August so they get the full effect. No A/C.
  11. Great post. I've been doing this for years. I want even shop at places or buy products from companies that sponsor Toyota in NASCAR. For me to quit shopping at Home Depot is like some people trying to quit crack cocaine. I have not been to a race since they let Toyota in.
  12. His business does 1 million a year, but he can't afford a $35,000 Flex and the gas to go in it. He hates the UAW, but I seem to recall him running for Union Rep. I am happy for anyone who can leave Ford and do well. I think it's great, but don't come on here putting us down then get offended when we return the favor.
  13. It will be fuel efficient and isn't that really what Americans want right now?
  14. I am also angry that Ford is building cars in Mexica, but not angry enough to buy a Toyota!!!! If I felt that way I would be working for Toyota instead of Ford. Buying a Toyota is not the solution. It will just make our situation worse. If you feel that strongly about it just only buy Fords that are assembly in the USA. I also know someone who works for Toyota. Their plant has A/C. That don't sound like bad working conditions to me.
  15. Great posts!! Thanks. I am a second generation Ford employee and a third generation UAW member. I have always believed we build the best vehicles in the world. I have driven every vehicle I have owned well over 100,000 miles and some well over 200,000 miles. This is why I only buy vehicles that wear a BLUE OVAL!!!
  16. RTO=Required To Operate Not a dumb question.
  17. There is a buyer interested in the property. It is a valueable piece of land due to the fact that 3 major interstates come together very near. Plus the airport is right behind it. The houses around the property are also being bought by people who are renovating. From what I understand the party interested has repeatedly conducted soil test to try to find something to get the price of the land lowered. As of yet no contamination has been found. Check out the video.
  18. It is on the Ford employees sight. http://www.employees.ford.com/ It's easy to get a cds id. Just click the link near the top of the sign in page. It will ask your last name, last 4 of ss#, hire date and zip code. After answering the questions you will be given a cds id then you will be asked to create a password. Piece of cake I even helped a relative who is a surviving spouse set one up. Hope this helps. There is good info on this site especially the disount market place and the AZX plan where you can look at dealer inventory and see the A/Z plan pricing right on line.

  20. Thanks for passing this info along to the rest of us. I 've been driving for 25 years. I have only owned 5 vehicles all of which have been Ford/Mercury products. Each one had over 150,000 miles on them when I traded them in on a new one. I currently have 2 Fords. One has 252,000 miles on it and the other has 117,000 miles on it. No complaints with either. I've said all along as long as I can get this kind of reliability out of a Ford why would I buy anything else. No sense in shooting yourself in the foot.
  21. Read 163C in the contract. This applies to all the closed plants except Wixom . Exactly.
  22. Maybe he's not a dumbass or salaried. Maybe he's just DRUNK.
  23. That's because it was not in the highlights. It is in the actual contract. From what I understood, is people in Gen (protected status) will get 2 chances in two years, you must take second chance or lose all bennies but still remain ford employable, If in Gen for two years with no offer to go to another plant, you stay there up to two more years with bennies. That is for people who will be in protected status in the future. People who are currently in gen at closed plants will get one job offer or a buyout pkg if they choose niether they will be considered inactive, which means no pay no insurance only job offers if they come available. This will happen with in 90 days of contract ratification. The clock is ticking now.
  24. Great posts guys. I agree completely.
