  1. Looks like it could be a fun car to drive. I like the Capri name for it.
  2. Thanks, I will certainly give it a try.
  3. I have a 2000 Ranger, with the 2.5L in it. Does anyone know how to reach the 2 rear plugs on the inlet side? It almost looks like the top half of the manifold has to come off. Thanks,
  4. I think it bad timing for the 6.1's. With that being said, the folks at a charger forum, won't give up their 6.1's for anything. Except for a 6.1 challenger.
  5. I would try to somewhat control how much dealers mark up a vehicle just for their pure profit. On the other hand, if someone is willing to pay $60,000 for a $35-40,000 vehicle then let them. If the '02 -05 T-birds sold for a reasonable price, would they still be in production? Was it Fords intension to only build them for a few years and then let the car die? Was it bad timing to bring out a 2 seat car?
  6. True, but I feel that there should be a limit to the mark-up. Personally, I feel that Ford did what they wanted to do. That is to create another collectors item.
  7. Remember, the firat ones this year are going to those with extra cash to burn and the collectors. Ford allowed the dealers to sell the '02 Thunderbirds way over sticker price also. I do believe the Shelby mustangs also sold to the highest "bidders". If the public wants to pay way to much for a car, let them. I'll just wait until they come down in price. I've also heard that the interiors of the Challengers wasn't up to par.
  8. I think someone had nothing better to do with their Tempo, so they made this!!
  9. Thanks for the reply. This is one car I'm interested in.
  10. Any body have experience with the 2000 Escort ZX2? I'm thinking of looking at one for sale near me. Can anyone run a carfax? If so, can you run this vin? 3FAKP1134YR140864. It's supposed to have 124,000 miles on it.
  11. Thanks for the reply. I did a serch for fuel mileage and was directed to the epa site. What I found there was really pretty disapointing. Their claiming 14 city and 18 highway for it running on gas. 11 city and 14 running on e85. That's pretty close to what i'm getting in my 20 year old 4.9 powered F-150. Here's a link to the site. http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/bymodel/200...er_Pickup.shtml
  12. What type of mileage can I expect from a 2000 extended cab with the 3.0 flex fuel, auto trans and four wheel drive? It's a step side bed if that matters. Will mileage be better or worse when using that corn fuel? I would be running 87 octane through it. One other question. Truck has 141,000 miles on it. Anything to look for? Will it have a timing belt or chain? Thanks,
  13. I like the first one also. I also like the current models, and if I could afford one, I'd buy one today.
  14. At the Volo Auto Museum they have/had a '79 Corvette pace car with 9 miles on it. Still had the plastic on the seats. It was in one of those bubbles. Supposed to keep everything pristine.
