  1. Recently NHTSA upgraded the Fusion's frontal crash rating from four to five stars. Ford deserves kudos for improving the product though it is disappointing that the vehicle didn't get five stars right out of the gate. Does anyone have any details regarding above?
  2. When will Fusions equipped with Sync actually show up on dealer's lots? Any inside info? Thanks.
  3. Thanks for the update. I wouldn't consider purchasing a vehicle with only three stars on the NHTSA rating, so this news at least puts the Escape in contention for my monthly payment. I suspect there are other consumers with a similar view. Frankly, Ford deserves a little more internet buzz than this when they make measurable safety improvement. I suggest you also post this in the Ford Company Discussion thread.
  4. I just can't get over that the 2008 Escape dropped to three stars on the NHTSA frontal crash rating while the foreign competition is scoring five all around. Fair or not, this advances the public perception that Ford either lacks engineering prowess, or engages in some cold financial calculus. Continuing the cold calculus theme, I suggest that Ford continue to market this vehicle for a younger demographic, since older adults tend to place a higher priority on safety.
  5. I'm not giving Ford a pass on the updated 2008 Escape. I just can't understand how the 2008 can drop a star on the NHTSA front driver crash rating and gain a star on the front passenger when compared to the 2007 model. Frankly, I was ready to pull the trigger on this vehicle but I will not settle for a three star crash rating. It's rock bottom for the class. Ford, I'm trying to be a fan boy...throw me a bone.
