Congrats on the new truck! Mine is in a railyard 1 hour from me but because of the blizzard today here in SE Va. the haulers can’t make it to the dealer.

How about some kind of webcam access to various “non proprietary” sections of the assembly line including the drive off so owners can track their build.

The dealer told me when I ordered that the “X” plan locks in your price so it can’t go up if there is a pricing change but he couldn’t lock in incentives. Your incentives are what is available at delivery for better or worse. My “X” plan pin is good for a year but the incentives attached to it expire on Tuesday. COTUS updated this morning with a delivery date of January 1st so it may all be a moot point, for me at least. Assuming you can trust COTUS.

The dealer is going to take my trade Saturday so I can get the 2017 model year value for it rather than the 2018 which it will loose $1000 or so of value even though the truck is only a day older. Plus we are going to sign all the paperwork to lock in the incentives. Right now they only have $1000 costumer cash but I have an “X” plan deal that gets me an extra $500 plus a $500 gift card thru BJ’s so I will end up about $800 below invoice. With my luck the January incentive will be better.

I looked up the rail carrier and they only take off 3pm on the 24th thru 10pm the 25th. So hopefully it will get here this week so I can use my inventive that expire on the 2nd.

COTUS is so frustrating. My truck was scheduled 12/12 with a build date of 12/20 and an estimated delivery of 1/15. Okay but not great. Then the day after it’s build the delivery date changed to 12/27.. Awesome! The dealer called yesterday just to give me an update and said that it was still on the ramp in Kentucky. Clearly not going to make it here today. And now the estimated delivery date and days to delivery have disappeared off COTUS. There killing me smalls.

Welcome to BlueOvalForums. There is a lot of good info to be found here, however, you will find the Super Duty answers you are looking for at Ford-Trucks.com. That’s where most of the Super duty guys are.

It’s the rail car thing that gets you. I’m 655 miles from the plant and mine will come via convoy which is only a 12 hour drive, or two days, for a big rig. I’m just glad shipping didn’t shut down with the plant too.

Surprise, my truck was built yesterday the 20th and COTUS showed a delivery date of January 15th which I guess was right given the upcoming shutdown. And then this evening I checked COTUS, knowing nothing would have changed, when to my surprise the status had changed form awaiting shipment to in transit with an updated delivery of December 27th.

Cotus.com. Customer Order Tracking U.S. is a generic order tracking website by Ford. You can enter your VIN or dealer code, order # and last name to search for yours. It would seem that Ford is having trouble with it. A lot of guys orders aren’t showing up until near the end if at all.

The 2018 “build and price” tool is finally working on Ford’s website and Cotus started working today for a lot of guys including mine which is two weeks out from its build date.

I ordered an 18 King Ranch on 11/09, I went to the dealer 11/29 and added a few things to the order and the dealer said that they had allocations for this week so he was confident it would be scheduled in the next day or two. He emailed me today with the VIN and a scheduled build date of 12/19, which, ironically, is also my birthday. So I’m guessing, based on everything that I have seen here and FTE.com that the dealer allocation has as much or more to due with the scheduling than the type of build or material availability. Does that make sense?

Bwags, I see you are in Maryland, try Koons Ford. They have ridiculous prices on SD’s. $8k to as much as $13k off depending on the trim. So you can pretty much get a free Diesel engine and a few extras on them. I’m in southeast VA and used Koons price to negotiate with my dealer down the street and got a descent deal without having to drive to NOVA. The only thing I see that is kind of shady is they show you how much the discount off the total MSRP including the $1295 destination fee and then they charge you the destination fee when they give you the “out the door price”. So they are kind of double dipping on that which makes their discount $1295 less than they indicate but still a good deal.

So, the 2018 I ordered last week will be a limited edition and possibly a collectors item in 20 or 30 years??

Boy did it fail! the wife was backing her's into a parking place in a parking garage that has post tensioned cables about 8 inches apart as their guard rail along the ramps. As she backed into the space it must not have picked up the 1/2" steel cables and before she knew it she was hard into four of them. They creased and scraped the paint off of the plastic bumper and left a small scratch on the tail light lens. The '03 we had never failed and it was much louder. This is the only thing that I am disappointed with on the "07. just like Ford to change something that ain't broke.

Yes, they are the stock 17" wheels. I have a hard time justifying the cost of tires for the 17's let alone how much a set of 18" or 20" tires would be. I have to draw the line somewhere.

I too had a '98, '03 and now a 2007. My '03 road so much better than my '98 and I liked the '98. I had no idea that they could improve the ride any more, but when I drove it home from the dealer it felt like it wasn't even touching the road it was so smooth. I had a Laser Red 98', Estate Green '03, and now a Dark Blue Pearl. Love the charcoal interior! GREAT JOB FORD!!

I agree. I just picked up my Dark Blue Pearl EB with the Charcoal interior, The charcoal interior looks much better than the tan. And the ride is amazing! :happy feet: I thought the 03 I had road great. what a differance.
