I don't know about the Continental tire Mustang , but the yellow Mustang #15 in the brochure is not the Yellow Blaze.

Does this bulletin say when Job 2 for the 2011 Mustang starts?

I have been told that the often promised, but never delivered "Yellow Blaze Tricoat" will be available after job 2. But Ford has not been very forthcoming with any information about the 2011 mustang. Just ask all the people that have ordered cars and are still waiting for delivery ( some for as much as 6 weeks). In my opinion, Ford is screwing up big time with the lack of information about new models. Just ask buyers of the new 2011 Superduty. Ford has just started TV ads for the new 2011 Fiesta, urging you to go drive one. The only problem is that there are none! Once again, Ford's information or lack thereof is a cause for concern. I have been told that job 2 could possibly be in the middle of July.

I have been trying to find out when the yellow blaze will be available since I found it that it was not included in the first order guide. Here is what I have found. 1. The Flat Rock plant that makes Mustangs is scheduled to be down the last week of June and the first week of July. This is often when Job 2 starts. 2. A factory rep at the Houston auto show told me that I should start checking with my salesman in the last part of March for yellow blaze availability. 3. A call to the Ford Marketing dept. today resulted in them telling me that they were told yellow blaze would be available late June or early July. They also told me to check on WWW.media.ford.com and www.ford.fleet.com. I told them that I was very familiar with those sites and they they are basically useless for news about things like this. So, it looks like even though I have been told several things, I know nothing. In case you are interested, the number I called for Ford Marketing is 800-334-4375.

My problem with Ford is that they have announced 3 new colors; Race Red, Ingot Silver, and the Yellow Blaze. Race Red and Ingot Silver are available, Yellow blaze is not. There is no mention of why or when. The new 2011 Fiesta is available in this color and can be ordered now. It makes no sense to me to offer a new color and then totally ignore your own announcement.

Ford has announced that there will be 3 new colors for the 2011 Mustang. One of them is to be Yellow Blaze Tri-coat. Apparently, this color will not be available at the present. I have been trying to find out why it is not offered now and when it will be available. This color was displayed on a Mustang GT at the NAIAS in Detroit and at the Houston car show. The paint code is NQ. My local dealer put this code in to order a Mustang and the computer said " not available till Job 2". Does anyone have any information on this? I just want some idea as to how long I will have to wait to order one.
