  1. I would like to believe that, but a dealer posted in the Fusion section that he just got a Sport for STOCK inventory today.
  2. While it's great to hear, and you have had your fun, I don't see the logic in ANY dealers receiving STOCK units until all customer pre-ordered units have been shipped.
  3. It's so wonderful to hear how Ford has sent out STOCK units when myself, a loyal Ford customer, coming off red carpet lease, special orders a loaded 2010 Fusion Sport AWD with Priority 1 order status, ordered in NOVEMBER, has to wait 5 MONTHS with NO ORDER SHIP DATE. The unit has been built for over a month and is sitting in some holding lot awaiting shipment while the units ordered for STOCK were built after my unit and are now sending out. Where is the logic here? So frustrating.
  4. Thanks! It's been a long time coming. Tell me, did your unit ever make it past "produced" on the daily order status update sheet?
  5. No, might hear more today, we are going to call in for an update. Last thing we heard was they were all being held to ship out and arrive at dealers the end of this month. Looks like ice-capades has a stock order hybrid on it's way so somethings moving now. The thing I fear since mine was built over a month ago it's at the back of the shipping yard now. It's been a long time coming since november!
  6. Seems like Ford was a big hit at the Chicago Auto Show......impressive!!! Best of Show Results and Contest Winners Consumer voters proclaimed their auto show favorites in five categories, in the Chicago Auto Show's fourth annual Best of Show balloting. Winners in the contest's five categories were the following: Best All-New Production Vehicle: Ford Taurus SHO (27% of vote) Best Concept Vehicle: Chevrolet Corvette StingRay (39% of vote) Best "Green" Vehicle: Ford Fusion Hybrid (31% of vote) Best Exhibit: Ford (30% of vote) Vehicle I'd most like to have in my driveway: Chevrolet Corvette StingRay (12% of vote)
  7. The dimensions from the toyota website for the 2009 camry: with moonroof 37.9 front/37.4 rear without moonroof 38.8 front /37.8 rear. 2010 Fusion is 38.7 front, 37.8 rear (I am assuming without moonroof) So the headroom is virtually the same in both cars.
  8. Thank you for the post. I have been meaning to post the brochure but never got a chance. It will be interesting to find the reasons for the mileage differences between 2.5L trim levels.
  9. Headroom is 38.7 front, 37.8 rear for both the 2009 and 2010 Fusion. It doesn't specify with or without the moonroof.
  10. Yea, if they can handle 3 buttons (on/off, set+/set-, resume) then they definately shouldn't be driving a car. Idiots.
  11. Wow, edmunds really hates praising domestic automobiles. I was having trouble reading it, it's like they wanted to make it as negative as possible, but then had to admit that its a much better car than the competition.
  12. Yep, I saw the commercials and thought the same thing. What's the point if you can't walk into a dealership and buy one yet. We got the showroom brochures for the car the other day, I made the comment about it's getting old just looking at pretty pictures of the car. It's time to drive one!
  13. I agree. Even though it may not be what we want to hear, I would rather know instead of guessing.
  14. Let's please keep this topic on discussion of order status updates. Here is a PIN number thread already created in the Fusion section: X Plan PIN Request
  15. You are not alone, doesn't sound like they have arrived anywhere yet. Mine was supposed to be in last week, it's been built for 2.5 weeks, but has not shipped yet.
  16. Any luck on yours yet? It's been over 2 weeks since mine was built but it still has not shipped. Typical for a new model (quality control and such) but frustrating for us. My ETA is now TBD.
  17. That doesn't seem like that should be the case for retail (customer) orders because they will be delievered immediately. That's about right, my invoice shows 10 transit days to Chicago area. Your car doesn't show "produced" status since it was scheduled for 2/18?
  18. FWIW, mine has been invoiced since 2/13, in "produced" status for 3 weeks without change. So I am not sure in this instance that invoiced units are necessarily shipped units. It had an ETA of 3/2, but shortly after it was built it changed to "TBD". I agree there updates are non-existant and it's frustrating for both the dealer and the customer.
  19. They started production the first week of Februrary. I have one on order, it's been built for a few weeks now, but still awaiting shipment. I suppose they are going through quality control checks and also building enough in one region to ship out in one batch. I have not heard of any dealers receiving them yet, I would imagine they will start flowing sometime this month.
  20. See this thread in the Fusion section: http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index...showtopic=30564
  21. That reporter is kind of an idiot, interrupting them like that and jumping around camera shots.
  22. I am with the other guys in wondering why it would be rated differently, it's the same engine, same transmission, same gear ratios. Only thing different is weight.
  23. More info in the newest fusion ads specifically says Fusion "S" model:
