He did point out that you can charge your car from a 110V outlet if you have three days to kill.

If the 30 miles/day average commute mentioned before is accurate, then he's just blowing smoke to fit his agenda.  Below is from the Mach-E charging page, at 3 miles/hour on a conventional 120V outlet, an over-night top-off is certainly possible.

Those models were never that profitable even before they were long in the tooth.  If you can’t see the difference in bargain priced commodity vehicles with 6-8 competitors and no distinguishing features and $4k rebates compared to vehicles that people are reserving and buying with emotion and happily paying MSRP even before the supply chain shortages then you’re just not paying attention.

But, again, people paying MSRP and above does not benefit the profitability of Ford (the manufacturer), only the profitability of the dealers.  You don't hear dealers complaining that Ford is adding thousands in markup's to their invoice cost, post-order.  Yes, the elimination of rebates and incentives has helped the profitability at the Ford level, but that's the devil that the manufacturers created in order to move product, when the almighty sales-volume number was the only metric they cared about.

Who cares if you sell 10 million of something, if you lose money doing it?

I'm calling it now. The only vehicles left that will have a straight ICE option by the end of the decade, and this is probably obvious but I don't care, are Ranger, Bronco, F-150, Super Duty and Transit. Everything else will be BEV or FHEV. I'm not convinced that the heavy trucks survive to the end of the decade.

No Expedition/Navigator?  You think they would leave the family RV towing market to GM?

Hi fmarcantoni. As akirby stated, it may be difficult (to say the least) to find a Dealer willing to accept an X-Plan PIN for a purchase. Even on a factory order. Especially or a Bronco purchase.

Remember, he's asking about the Sport.  My dealer is accepting Z-plan on my Maverick order, and a friend has a dealer accepting X-plan on his Maverick order, the BS doesn't seem to be as in-demand, so I'll bet he can find a willing dealer.

I still haven't even found any trim on a lot. I'm going to end up ordering one before I see one up close. I waited last year hoping to check out one at a dealer, but no luck. I'm sure the quality is much better than the 70's seats which lasted about 60-70K miles.

I've got Active-X seats in both my 2018 Escape and 2019 Edge, and would get them on my up-coming Maverick XLT 4K if available.  I'll probably get Katzkin XT's to replace the cloth covers some time in the future. There are a lot of Ford models that offer them, if you want to touchy-feely in person.

I guess I won't bother posting any further updates in this thread as I did yesterday. I posted above that per yesterday's FDNB, the official source for USOB information, that there are no changes to the previously released schedule for the 2023 Maverick. Speculate all you want. I provide the official information as soon as it's released from Ford. Otherwise, I've got better things to do with my time.

I-C, I'm sorry if you think I have intentionally wasted your time, that was never my intent.  Yours is the only date information IN WRITING, anything else has been second-hand, I was told this, blah blah blah.  Nothing would make me happier than to get an order entered and time-stamped this week, once I return from a Daddy-Daughter long weekend with my soon to be married little girl.

I only wish that you and your dealership were a little closer to me, geographically, so that we could do business together.

Again, my apologies for the inquiry.  HRG

~1200 mm between the rear wheel wells at 7.05. Hmmm...that works out to about 47 1/4" or not quite 4 ft. I assume they were smart enough to squeeze out that extra 3/4" to make it at least 4 ft?

Well,,,,, a quick look at sheets of plywood in AUS shows that they are 1200 x 2400, so maybe the 48" US standard wasn't considered,,,

No news is good news ?

I was planning on ordering two Lariat FX4's Tuesday......

    :ohsnap:

I'm trying to be optimistic, just heard from my Dealer, he has seen nothing official.  The link that WAS shown yesterday under the future vehicles tab, that showed the 2023 Maverick Tremor, with an order in August note, is now completely gone.
