Maybe I didn’t understand his comment, because the picture shows a roofline that drops off way too low for a wagon.Agreed. People seem to forget that the U in SUV used to stand for utility, this Evo is nothing more than a hatchback.

Big difference in the reaction on the MAP Facebook groups I’m in vs the post on the UAW International page. There’s 1 guy in particular I know is going to be very, VERY bitter for the next 4 years if this passes.Maybe this will be the impetus he needs to find a different employer that he'll be happier at,,,,,,

WXYZ Detroit reports progress on UAW and Ford coming to agreement on the labor contract. UAW appears to be moving toward a potential deal with Ford that could end strike (wxyz.com)
And I was THIS close to buying some F this morning, figuring there would be a bounce once a TA was announced,,,,

It’s partly because it was a 100 percent mailing system and not everyone has their correct address on file. Had they had every local do an in person ballot turnout would have been much higherTo say it was close would be an understatement. I Hope this results in members getting their addresses on-file corrected, before the next election.

Rather than believing the media, which we all know is 100% accurate, how about personal experiences. Since you are so vocal on the Escape, surely you do own one, or at least have taken one for an extensive test drive.
Uh, scroll up a bit, he had one on a "2-week" test drive,,,,,,

Not suggesting a Maverick SUV is a 1 for 1 replacement for Escape buyers. But I think it would be cheaper to build and easier to sell and it fits the Ford truck/suv design language better.Isn't the possible Maverick SUV already called Bronco Sport? Or are you thinking taking advantage of the longer wheelbase and making a 3-row version?

Patience is getting thin amongst those who’ve been out the longest. The membership is certainly getting more and more divided the longer this goes on.Fuzzy,
Do you think there's a possibility of Fain & Co "rotating the pain", and allowing MAP to go back to work, but then close one of the F-150 plants? This way, more of the Membership shares in the sacrifices.

My wife’s ‘23 Maverick finally arrived! Took thirteen months. We’re keeping her Edge (I think - we’ll keep the Edge or the 2010 Flex, TBD - Edge needs some work) for our son, who just started drivers ed, so our fleet is now red (Lightning), white (Edge), and Blue (Maverick) representing Fords North American production, Dearborn (Lightning), Ontario (Edge _and Flex]), and Hermosillo (Maverick). It’s my ninth Ford, and fifth from my salesman. It’s a very dark blue, and has a lot of fun features. We did not get the hybrid because we wanted the 4K towing package.
Dang, that looks familiar! Best of luck, HRG

I just realized the Toyota Kentucky plant has a larger 550k a year capacity, i guess that's how they roll out a lot of Rav4s, Camrys etc.

Don't confuse the block design problem with the EGR valve issue, that also results in coolant loss.

Is there a link or something where I might find a document that states this? Dealer said they no longer price protect. Believe it or not, they have been wrong before. Just want to keep a copy in my folder while I await my new ordered 2024. Many thanks!!
Ask your dealer to look at the July 2023 C&I Programs for Retail Ordered Vehicles document, that provides the information you are looking for. I have seen it, but I am not authorized to share it.

Agreed. Unless Ford puts a specific policy, with specific retail order incentives, in place for retail orders carrying over to the next Model Year, there is no price protection. Ford's price protection applies to current Model Year retail orders only.
He's already indicated that he does not have a rollover, he has a new order. I think he may be asking if his price is locked-in at time of order, and not subject to mid-year price increase.
Maybe? HRG

We have that now at plants on a 4x10 schedule.Understood, but they're working 40 hours. Not 32, but expecting to be paid at the 40-hour rate.

It was a red herring from the start. Nothing more than a ploy to try to get the companies to hire more people and in turn pad the pockets of the union from the influx of dues money.I get the hiring more people part, and everyone gets 3-day weekends, it's the 40-hour pay demand that has me stymied.

OK, I obviously have trouble with comprehension, so could someone explain to me the rational behind the 32-hour workweek at 40-hour pay? By my math, that's a 26% per hour increase, independent of whatever wage increase is negotiated. How is this even possible to ask for?

They’ll move the plants to Mexico or Canada or outsource it to their partner or a 3rd party.Right now in my driveway I have a made in Canada Edge, and a made in Mexico Maverick. As much as I wanted to order a made in USA '24 Ranger, and waited years for the latest update, the cost was too much to accept. I can't imagine that USA-made products won't see an additional MSRP increase as a result of whatever the new contract costs.

Using extortion to get more money after negotiators reach agreement with the company should be illegal.
Are you kidding? You want to take the right of approval out of the hands of the members? At 73%, they've told the negotiators to go do a better job.
