  1. In all of my Ford diesel and all kinds of Ford gassers, the 2008 V-10 and 2007 LT 5.4, being our newest Ford gasser, I have never been a fan of the Banks mods. The only exception to that was the Banks Big Head Actuator I had on my 2002 7.3, which worked fine. Many other folks that I have known over the years start out using Banks mods and then switch to other manufacturers as once you start with Banks, you can't use anything else. As far as the newer Ford gassers, I like my Diablo Sport Predator and have used it for almost 2 years. That and my Airaid intake system are all that I have done to this truck and it runs great. My wife's LT has a Superchip and a drop-in K&N air filter. That combo seems to work quite well on her truck. She is getting 18 mpg around town on the 90 octane setting and the power is much improved. If you have a diesel, just go on wwwthedieselstop.com or www.powerstrokenation.com and you'll find that very few use Banks products. If Banks was the best out there, you can bet there would be alot of users, but there isn't.
  2. I added the Air Raid intake system and the Diablosport Predaqtor set in the "middle" setting. Runs great on 88 octane and is a definate improvement over stock. I've run it for 35k of my 41k on the odometer and towed heavy on 10k. Love this truck and this V-10 is a hoss of an engine with the TS tranny. Best truck Ford makes IMHO.
  3. My wife's Lincoln LT has the rear head rests too. Oh well, my SD has bigger engine and springs and is at least 1000 lbs. heavier too. I can live without the rear head rests as I rarely have more than 1 or 2 passengers.
  4. The seat covers are Marathon Superhides. Check them out at www.marathonseatcovers.com . They are the best and made in the USA here in Montana.
  5. Nice truck. I have one just like it only it is an extended cab and short bed.
  6. I have had my V-10 for 6 months now, also with a 4.10 rear and Torqueshift tranny. I sold my 2002 7.3 and have never looked back. This is the smoothest running and best laid out truck I have ever owned. It has all of the power one needs for towing. I am getting 11 mpg which isn't much less than the new 6.4 diesels. My wife's LT with a 3.73 is getting 14 mpg. I would not change a thing on this truck; the change to a gasser was a good choice for me, especially with the difference in gas/diesel prices these days.
  7. I ordered both the snow plow and the camper package and am happy I got both.
  8. That's bogus as it is a percentage of the total cost of the vehicle and will vary depending on the base price of the vehicle plus the options. For example on a sticker of $45k, the holdback will be about $1,000. Dealer makes that at invoice.
  9. Has anyone tried to wax their new Super Duty hood with those darn windshield washer buttons sticking up in the middle of the hood? What about brushing the snow off in the winter? I presume that the idea for moving them from closer to the windshield was the warmth of the engine keepiong them clear of ice. But They will be harder to keep clear on a bad snow day, IMHO. Appears to be a real pain in the rear.
