http://www.leftlanenews.com/mercury-milan-future.html
They call it a Milan, but I would bet $2 that it is the MKZ. Based on the grille alone this does not seem to be a Mercury.
Also note on picture 2: Adjustable rear headrests - something not present on current models.
The rest seems pretty standard expect for the current Fusion tail :D
oh and lets not forget the leaked rendering of the upcoming MKS:
Igor
I can't quite tell what it is. The black center piece in the grille leads me to believe its MKZ, but as silversvt said, the bars (and headlights) look like Milan/Mercury type elements to me.
Also, those look like the current Fusion's taillights.

I guess that's the idea. I wonder if Ford really ought to bother at this point in their history. Is NASCAR really that relevent to new cars sales anymore?
That's what I'm thinking. I'd guess that for people that watch NASCAR it could have a slight impact, but really all it would be is advertising the Ford name (and Fusion, sort of).
To me, it may be better to spend these resources on other projects, but I'm sure they've done research to show that NASCAR does have a big enough impact on sales to continue to sponser it.

Give me black or give me death!
I will only buy black, but it is a HIGH maintenance color. Nothing rewards cleanliness than a nice glassy black! If I had to rank color choices...
Black
Silver
Charcoal (Gray)
White
Blues
Colors to avoid at all cost...
Yellow
Orange
Red
Green
So you're a true Henry Ford type person, getting a car in any color, as long as it's black.

I suppose it is only natural that more standard equimpent requires more $$$.

Really, I'm glad to see Toyota take over the #1 spot. Maybe they'll get some flak now like everybody else.

The "Conservation of Potential Energy" release increases the MPG for the Tundra. When the bed hits the cab, it pushes the truck forward.

Honestly it looks very watered down from the concept, moreso than it should be.
Granted, we can only see limited things, but it almost looks boring.
Volvo designs, to me, are becoming very generic. They need to push the envelope some.
I never saw the XC60 concept, it was taken away for the public show at NAIAS last year, so I don't know how 'radical/out there' that looked (except pics).

armor plating?
That's actually the "Fortification" package.

What about writing HYBRID across the hood instead of Ford?
Also, what if the Ford's Hybrid logo (the road/leaf thing) took the place of the Ford emblems on the wheels? I thought about replacing all Ford emblems, but you want customers to know Ford + Hybrid = Eco Friendly.
Heres a quickie of the HYBRID hood.
-
I've been wanting them to do that for a long time, letters up front instead of the oval too..

I suggested a month or so ago that Mercury should go all hybrid. Not like they would lose any "traditional buyers" since there isn't any. Plus, Ford isn't really doing anything with the brand anyways.
So it was you that suggested it, I knew somebody did.

Those are cool. I wonder what a White Chocolate Tri-Coat emblem would look like on an Expedition.

You mean letters written across the hood?
For Hybrid models or all/ a mix?
-
That would be kind of cool. Or a green ring around the blue, more likely.
I will forward to Ford customer care.
That might be cool too. I'll work on a chop.

Maybe the side vents will still be round?????
Something like this?
I think the NAV needs to higher....for better sight line. And defog is too low and behind the shifter.
Looks good as usual Tim.
While it's possible that the outer vents could remain round (like Mazda 3, RX-8 -I believe), I'm not sure how that'd look with the outer circluar silver vents and inner black square ones.
All we can do is wait to see it revealed.
-
I'm more worried about the nasty chrome around the headlights..
retracted.

Those taillights will be the downfall of Ford Motor Company. It is inevitable. The Internet has spoken.
The end is near!!! :devil2:

I forgot about the most excellent Ghia upgrade package. Those II's were sweet. Not just them but the Ghia emblem has a rich heritage - my family had a silver Granada with the Ghia interior upgrade and emblem, those maroon corduroy like seats in the Granda would be so cool in the mustang.
Seriously though, still impossible to tell what the next mustang looks like, tailights included. Though those rectangular HVAC vents look square and large as heck, trying to figure out how that new interior is going to look. I really like the Guages and round HVAC on my mustang - actually other than the actual radio and HVAC controls the whole interior of the current mustang is perfect to me, so its hard to imagine improvements.
I too like the current interior, I don't even mind the controls. Of course, if I had a Mustang, I'd get it w/ a nav system (gets rid of the brick) and the electronic air controls, so it'd look a little better.
-
we can see enuff of those taillights too know they look like shit..now all those idiots at ford need to do is add the cheese crater shit treatment and we have 80's retro..i imagine farrah fawcett edition is next..yeah lets go mustang 2 retro...taillights on the protoype just look terrible..must be another ford bright idea...
You're becoming very anti-Ford lately snooter, has Pscario been brainwashing you?

Where did I ever say Russia is a market in decline?
Using my reading skills, you didn't.

I need a front bench seat in my trucks. Will that be an option in the F-150?
I hope the SD keeps them.
I believe the F-150 will still offer a center bench.
-
Im not sure, but I think the 09 F150 grill is attached to the hood so it lifts up with the hood when the hoods opened.
I believe it does, the 04-08 models have that feature. I'm pretty sure the Super Duties still have it as well.

Ford engineered a lot of what you're talking about into the 1996 Taurus. The underside is pretty much flat, especially in comparison to other vehicles at the time. Gaps in body panels such as the hood to front bumper were sealed to improve airflow, and there were a few other little neat tricks I don't recall anymore that they used to better manage airflow. Quite an engineering exercise. Unfortunately at the time it resulted in one fugly car.
I was going to say, wouldn't making the underside flat help out some?

Good eye. I noticed the wheels as well.
