  1. I see. I hope they come out with a new Lightning....Ford needs another "excitement" vehicle, although I can understand why they don't want to financially right now. I just had an idea....what if they debuted the EcoBoost (should be TwinForce for this application) 6.8L? BOSS engine on a new Lightning before it was available in the other models. 625-hp sounds fine for a Lightning.....then hp could be increased with other technologies after the engine spreads through the lineup, or just leave it as is.
  2. I would but, I'm very busy right now, so I don't have much time. I'll try to work on something.....don't expect it too soon though.
  3. When did that happen? I never saw too many of them, I see one or two occasionally though. I guess the 4 door version didn't help sales much.
  4. I was going to say, I though Ford did some commercials like that. I'd like to see more though.
  5. Oh, it's probably a bit different then.
  6. Toyota is laughing at all the Mercedes, Maybach, and other high-end manufacturers who offer massage seats......Toyota figured out how to do it without an expensive chair....just make the whole vehicle be a giant massage machine, there's only one setting though.....it's called UGLY, WEAK, INCAPABLE, NON-QUALITY, AND VIBRATIONS, and yes that's the official name for this STANDARD equipment. I just realized, Toyota is obsessed with turds.....we've got the TuRD package, switch a few letters around you got the TURDNA (Tundra), whats next the 'DRUT' (turd backwards)? I forgot about the Tundra (or TURDna) manure in the bed ad.....more evidence that Toyota likes turds.
  7. A TOTY because there was nobody else to give it to. I don't know how a 4 star truck is "safest" when every other truck are 5 stars 196K, not 200K sold. There, now end of story.
  8. FYI, Toyota did not reach their 200K sales mark. And they did it by dropping loads of incentives in a market where the best vehicle in the class is 4 years old, didn't load on the incentives, and is still better than Tundra.
  9. I believe you're correct, at least I seem to remember reading that somewhere. The 5.4 won't be replaced until after the new engine debuts, as you stated though.
  10. 450-hp I believe. And I suppose then, technically the F-150 would be the leader. Actually, I take that back, the Ram SRT-10 (do they still make that?) would be, with 500-hp (if it's still made).
  11. Either way, Ford will. and a Turdyota is even moreso one when you upgrade to the the TuRD package.
  12. I believe you're correct in saying BlackHorse is the one getting the new Wrangler. And I'd think you're right about the new Jeeps not seeing much off road duty.
  13. That statement says it all right there. Toyota didn't get to where it was now overnight, and Ford won't rebuild itself overnight.....patience is required, although it's frustrating to see Ford struggle.
  14. Theres a lot of changes for 08 so you may not recognize it at all, but...(drumroll please)....here's an 08:
  15. My guess is it's an 01 or 05.....it depends on when Ranger got the F-150 style Ranger badge, this one has the old badge. Also, notice the Escape Hybrid type wheels (which look tacked on BTW), so it may be an 05 then if those are real wheels. It's not an 08, the 08's have different, more squarer mirrors.
  16. As I've said before, I like it, but to each his own.
  17. They don't have my vote, that's for sure. And I compliment you on your non Ford bashing comment.
  18. I think the satin/brushed accents and wood amount can depend on the situation/application. If done properly, like on the new F-150 Platinum, they can work well together, but if not, then they don't always look good. In the Sonata, it's ok but not great. I think had they put some more wood grain on the center console instead of that brownish plastic, the wood strips would look fine and 'in place.' (as opposed to out of place)
  19. I agree. The article mentioned in NY switching the taxis to all hybrids would equal taking about 25,000 cars off the streets in emissions. I wonder how much emissions could be reduced if all taxis in the US were switched to hybrids and what the equivalent # of vehicles "taken off the road" that would come out to?
