I agree, the Dodge center consoles are pretty wide. Also from what I remember from last years NAIAS, the Tundra's center console was pretty wide as well.

It looks great in person (opinion, of course).

Only differences I see are the slightly extended bumpers, gas door is on opposite side, antenna, lights, doors, and wheels (obviously the interior as well). Other than that, I didn't realize how close the two really were. Some angles made the Fairlane look taller than it was.

Those would be good updates. It appears they haven't switched the third brakelight (in the window) to LEDs though, I'm kinda dissapointed. (this is based on looks alone without a brake light 'glow', however)

I wasn't expecting a very drastic update either. I agree with your evaluation of the changes it needs. I also agree that sales will continue to pick up. I don't either. I agree with your "unified look" comment. Rumor has it that the MKX will receive this face with it's '10 MCE. You haven't even seen it yet (except for the rendering). LOL, just a few. I wonder what made him decided to sell them....all at once? Maybe he's having financial problems? Even then I wouldn't think you'd have to sell them all at once, then again, maybe he does.

That's interesting. I kinda like the name Raptor. Does anyone know if it's wider because of the bulged fender flares, or is there actually extra metal put into the center of the vehicle to make it wider?
