  1. Platinum Plus is the former limited. Except for the name, nothing has changed.
  2. One looks like shined primer. The other looks like shined primer with a dab of baby blue.
  3. Ruby replaces Rapid. Huge improvement IMHO.
  4. I guess I’m in the minority. 7.3L Powerstroke, 6.0L, 6.4L, 6.7L …all great experiences. But when compared to gas, I don’t know. I won’t waste a great HD truck chassis by ordering a half measure torque engine when the whole thing is available.
  5. A couple of exterior colors and a new smoked truffle interior color for the plus. My 23 was never built. My 24 re-order came in a hideous new color. The 23+ models took a pointy boot in the groin restyling. I have decided to wait for the next badly needed refresh, and that’s probably coming sooner than later.
  6. Im/we are savers and conservative spenders who hates high depreciation unless we can buy right. I have bought my fair share of toys, but never paid the high price for them. I’m 65, and I am at a point where I can comfortably buy whatever I want and write a check for it. My situation is stable because of my conservative approach. My retirement is fully secured, as well as my investment cash flow along with my debt free business and two homes…and a WHOLE lot of timing and luck. I’ve owned a bunch of new SD trucks throughout the years. . Enjoyed the write offs and the somewhat stable pricing. But..if I were in my 40s today, there would be NO effin WAY I would pay these prices, or consider risking my future goals for overpriced, temporary satisfaction. The last thing I want to do right now is worry about finances, or ever having to work again. If you can’t swing a 48 month payment, you are buying in the wrong catagory, no matter what Mr. or Mrs. Jones drives. I’d look elsewhere for your vehicle of choice until more time passes allowing the systemic foolishness to settle down.. .
  7. Check carrier bering if your truck has one. If not, replace u joints. oil? I might seriously think about installing a new oil pump.
  8. With such a late launch, a short run and a refresh for 26’?
  9. New color is Avalanche, and possible another. The Limited trim is gone, and re-branded as Platinum Plus. The new PP interior color is Smoked Truffle. A light to medium tan. Huge improvement over that cheap blue interior color IMO.
  10. We should know what’s coming sometime in July.
  11. We’ll, you know what they say around here…. ”Summer” is the best day of the year! 🤣
  12. You have to remember, New York is a northern state. The sun isn’t as bright as it is in the south. I did tint one off my trucks in previous years and found that I could hardly see out of it at night if it was raining. Too dark. .
  13. No added tint to front seat windows/windshield in NY, period.
  14. The new DMax is rumored to make 600 hp, and 1,200# torque. It obviously a tuned down introduction that may be increased for the next 10 years. Is 700/1,500 out of the question down the road? I doubt it as long as drivetrain improvements follow. It’ll be interesting to see where this goes.
  15. So, the next MY will be coming soon and I’ll be trying again. After my 23’ Azure Limited never showed, and my 24’ Glacier order was IMHO, too hideous to own, I’m on to what the 25’ may hold. With the Limited, I think that nameplate ends in 24. Never made any sense to begin with because on every other ford model, the Platinum was the top model, and the Limited was below. I see the SD following the 150 and use the “Platinum Plus” as the new top nameplate. Gone will be the controversial Admiral blue interior in favor of the classy Smoked Truffle. Please Ford, drop the Glacier and return with a classy medium blue tri color more like Vapor Blue. Black, white, silver, gray are eternal it seems. Rapid will probably remain also. I’m expecting power trains to remain the same. Maybe a little more fluff with Sync. So, anyone know the order bank schedule?
  16. Color is subjective for sure. Some will love it. One definitely has to look at it in person to see if it’s for them. In my case, and after waiting a very long year, walking away from GG was without a doubt a very easy decision for us. Definitely doesn’t mean it’s not right for you. On to 2025, and hoping for better choices..
  17. It still amazes me that the thought of counting the savings of single dollar bills for extending a cheap and superficial oil change on a 100k truck is a thing. I guess there is a detachment on a leased vehicle,, but as an owner, IMO, it’s part of being clean, healthy and proactive.
  18. Currently, new truck prices remain much stronger than trade in values. It’s a good time to wait.
  19. I would imagine any dealer will order it XPlan now.
  20. Diesel here. Full Syn. I change somewhere between 4k and 5k religiously. Oil is cheap.
  21. No clue. I do know that if I want to keep my hitch, my 3” receiver will have to be swapped out with any new trade. There is one major positive, the tolerance fit between the two is as tight as can be expected. There is no wiggle, flex, banging or movement like prior combos.
  22. Ford used 3” receivers on the F-350 SRW when I bought my truck. They have since changed back to the 2.5” This is the 3”
  23. I use a rhino hitch. It’s perfect for multiple heights and light weight, and never understood stowing a hitch. I would caution against a 3”. Go 2 1/2” I have a 3, love it, but now Ford doesn’t offer the 3” receiver on the 23+. Unless it’s a DRW.
  24. Which demonstrates a shortcoming somewhere else..?
