  1. The new DMax is rumored to make 600 hp, and 1,200# torque. It obviously a tuned down introduction that may be increased for the next 10 years. Is 700/1,500 out of the question down the road? I doubt it as long as drivetrain improvements follow. It’ll be interesting to see where this goes.
  2. So, the next MY will be coming soon and I’ll be trying again. After my 23’ Azure Limited never showed, and my 24’ Glacier order was IMHO, too hideous to own, I’m on to what the 25’ may hold. With the Limited, I think that nameplate ends in 24. Never made any sense to begin with because on every other ford model, the Platinum was the top model, and the Limited was below. I see the SD following the 150 and use the “Platinum Plus” as the new top nameplate. Gone will be the controversial Admiral blue interior in favor of the classy Smoked Truffle. Please Ford, drop the Glacier and return with a classy medium blue tri color more like Vapor Blue. Black, white, silver, gray are eternal it seems. Rapid will probably remain also. I’m expecting power trains to remain the same. Maybe a little more fluff with Sync. So, anyone know the order bank schedule?
  3. Color is subjective for sure. Some will love it. One definitely has to look at it in person to see if it’s for them. In my case, and after waiting a very long year, walking away from GG was without a doubt a very easy decision for us. Definitely doesn’t mean it’s not right for you. On to 2025, and hoping for better choices..
  4. It still amazes me that the thought of counting the savings of single dollar bills for extending a cheap and superficial oil change on a 100k truck is a thing. I guess there is a detachment on a leased vehicle,, but as an owner, IMO, it’s part of being clean, healthy and proactive.
  5. Currently, new truck prices remain much stronger than trade in values. It’s a good time to wait.
  6. I would imagine any dealer will order it XPlan now.
  7. Diesel here. Full Syn. I change somewhere between 4k and 5k religiously. Oil is cheap.
  8. No clue. I do know that if I want to keep my hitch, my 3” receiver will have to be swapped out with any new trade. There is one major positive, the tolerance fit between the two is as tight as can be expected. There is no wiggle, flex, banging or movement like prior combos.
  9. Ford used 3” receivers on the F-350 SRW when I bought my truck. They have since changed back to the 2.5” This is the 3”
  10. I use a rhino hitch. It’s perfect for multiple heights and light weight, and never understood stowing a hitch. I would caution against a 3”. Go 2 1/2” I have a 3, love it, but now Ford doesn’t offer the 3” receiver on the 23+. Unless it’s a DRW.
  11. Which demonstrates a shortcoming somewhere else..?
  12. The issue was simple. The color was offered without as much as a sample. By the time it was scheduled, there still was no clue to what it would look like. It was a gamble.. If the truth be told, the blue interior was something I could live with, but not something I would have chosen. So, it was probably for the best to wait till 25’ and hope for the Smoked Truffle interior color.
  13. How does wondering how an ugly color from a Ford Fiesta end up on a 105K truck get confused with anger? disappointed? Wasn’t meant to be in my yard. Much better things lay ahead in 25’. .
  14. IMO, the metallic doesn’t do much for it.
  15. I ended up passing. For every SD I’ve brought home, there was a WOW factor at first sight. For this one, it was the exact opposite. My 2020 sat next to it, and I could hear it calling me back. LOL ‘chrome mirror caps when everything else is nickel. Wheels just don’t elevate the look. Blue interior was something I could have lived with, but the Glacier IMO was just a head spinner on a truck this size. None of it was working for me. I’ll try again and order a new 25 Limited, or if the trim is changed, a Platinum Plus this summer.
  16. Color is always subjective. If you like the color, then it’s beautiful. I absolutely loved the darker Azure where no one else in my family could see it. If they could find a 23’ azure to trade for, I’d be all in. I saw it last night when it was dark, and it looked like I thought it would. My wife didn’t say a word which said it all. I’ll see it again tomorrow morning. I’m bringing my 2020 in for some recall work, and I’ll let my salesman know that I’m passing…unless something miraculous happens. Hoping for a Job2 change…
  17. I’m going to pass. For a 100K+ truck, it should be eye opening and exciting, and IMO, this shade of color might be the very last on earth I would pick. So far from the ford sample. I’ll wait to see if Job2 offers a different color because I don’t see this one surviving the quarter, or just wait till the 25’ MY. I’m guessing the 25’ will done with the Limited trim, and on to the Platinum Plus like the F-150 with the Smoked Truffle interior, with better color matches.. Seriously Ford, who is in charge of color mixes? How does this group have a job? A blue interior, full on clashing with Rapid Red or Black or brown from 23’? .
  18. It’s here. Now I have to decide whether to love it or list it.
  19. My Limited in that color should be here soon. I’m still not feeling it. We’ll see it in the flesh first before I decide to pass the showcase on to the next contestant and wait till 2025’
  20. IMO, don’t waste your money. The Stock flows more than what they truck will ever need and actually filters.
  21. Doesn’t bother me a bit. Nothing to hide.
