  1. Yeah dumbass, things were great under Clinton. The entire economy was a mirage, a bubble that burst before he left office, remember the recession. U.S. interests both at home and abroad were attacked by terrorists numerous times with no substantial response by Clinton, all leading up to 9-11. Don't get me wrong, I have not been happy at all with some of Bush's decisions, I think the people he has had planning military operations in Iraq have made major mistakes and cost American lives, but this is a fight that needs to be fought now, not later. It's a shame politics have not allowed us to fight the war the way it needed to be fought in order to win. You know terrorists don't deserve the same rights as U.S citizens! So in closing, don't give me that Bullshit about how much better things were with Clinton, it was all smoke and mirrors while he was getting blown in the oval office. And God help us if Mrs. Bill, or Obama for that matter, win the Whitehouse.
  2. Yes, check out the last Car and Driver, they had a tuner challenge, there is a GT running 1000hp on stock internals. That car does 0-200mph in 18.9 seconds or something like that. A stock GT takes 19.2 or so to reach 150. They replaced the supercharger with twin turbos. Pretty impressive.
  3. Pretty nice looking! Now if they would just add the Twin-Force......I mean "ECOBOOST"........ 3.5L V6 with about 400HP and AWD, that would be quite an impressive vehicle. Us Ford fans can only dream.......
  4. Do you wake up every morning and think to yourself....... How can I be a dick today? ......... or does it just come that naturally to you? Your life must really be miserable.. Do you actually work for Ford? I sure hope not.
  5. You must be a moron, the Toyota interior is joke, not even as nice as the previous gen camry. The Dodge interior does look good, but I doubt the design has much to do with hiring Toyota personnel. The next F150 interior looks equal to or better than the next Dodge, and even the current F150 isn't far off. The next Dodge interior is light years ahead of the current Dodge though. And they are both SO much better than the Toyota. I will concede that the Tundra has a decent looking exterior in certain trims and obviously has nice power, but I think the latest offerings from the domestics are about to make this truck pretty obselete, and it's less than a year old. Pathetic, actually.
  6. Highways are in disrepair, schools are failing, post office is private, police and judicial are local or state. The armed forces could be successful but partisan politics gets in the way of them doing their jobs. So what does the federal government do well?
  7. Oh, and as far as life expectancy in the U.S., I think it has more to do with the excessive lifestyle, obesity, stresses, and a general lack of personal responsibility when it comes to taking care of one's self. Not necessarily the lack of adequate health care. But I could be wrong.
  8. Laugh all you want. I'm not going to get in U.S. vs. Canada argument, I just picked Canada. Pick any country with socialized medicine and you hear everyday about people being on waiting lists for major surgeries, sometimes life threatening - and where do they usually turn to - AMERICA or other countries with private systems. I am not sure what you mean by timely fashion, seems a bit like word play. I don't doubt you can go to the doctor, and it's great that you don't have to pay for it, but somebody is paying for it. Maybe in Canada everybody works and contributes with taxes, but we all know that in the U.S. there are a lot of able bodied freeloaders as well as illegals not paying in. I think that was the original posters point. I am going to reiterate, anyone that thinks the U.S. government can run health care is sadly mistaken.
  9. Call it what you want, single payer, socialized, whatever you call it a system like that will greatly reduce the quality and availability of our HEALTH CARE. People need to stop confusing HEALTH CARE with health coverage or health insurance. Everybody can get health care regardless of their ability to pay. We are not entitled to FREE health care. I am all for eliminating the wasted money that is in the current system and agree that the system needs major overhauling, but you are a fool if you think that the government running the health care system is the answer. Name one thing that the federal government runs that is done efficiently. The government needs to get completely out of it before all of the good doctors are forced out of the profession, and we are left with CANADA's crappy health care system.
  10. What's this thing gonna cost? and with what standard equipment? Will it compete price wise with the G35 and TL type vehicles? I'm in the market for something in the next 6 months and have been leaning towards the Edge, but this could get me into the Lincoln showroom. The funny thing is, I like the looks of the Edge better than the MKX. The MKS looks real good.
  11. It does seem stupid, I would think with how common they have become and the advancements in technology, they would be very cheap and easy to add, and plenty of people like me would pay an extra $400-$500 to have them. That's leaving money on the table.
  12. I love the Edge and will probably be ordering one late this year or early next, but I would really like my next vehicle to have H.I.D. headlights. I have owned a couple of vehicles with them, and they make a big difference to me. My question is, do you think this will become an option down the road, as maybe a 2008 Job 2 or a 2009? It's probably not a deal breaker for me, but I would be willing to wait a while if I thought they were coming. BTW, I like the direction the options are going, i.e. power liftgate, sync., 20" wheels, etc. I just think the H.I.D. is a glaring omission IMO.
