  1. I found stickers for Titanium and SEL hatches and an auto SE sedan. The Titanium and SEL are rated 27/37, the SE sedan is rated 28/38. I am encountering uploading errors and will make another attempt later this afternoon as an edit to this post.
  2. I agree. Personally, I'll be thrilled with a combined average of 31 MPG. Sure beats my current daily driver's 18 MPG (that's not the LS, BTW).
  3. My dealer now shows five hatchbacks on order for stock - all automatics; one SEL and four SEs. I wonder if this is due to the production run or if the dealer anticipates hatchback sales to be stronger than sedan sales. The press consistently poo-poos hatches as being undesirable in the U.S. but the practicality is undeniable and IFO prefer the design of the Focus hatch to the sedan.
  4. I just downloaded the window sticker for an auto/SEL ordered for local dealer stock and the EPA estimate is 27/37. [edit] Whoa...the other dealer stock vehicle, an auto/SE has a sticker with EPA estimates of 28/38. Huh? Both are 5-door models and show a combined estimate of 31 MPG.
  5. Thank you for the update; it's nice to hear about the progress. I checked with my dealer yesterday - still no VIN yet for my order. Hope springs eternal. I keep reminding myself that patience is a virtue.
  6. Hi Allen, it has been a while. Good to hear from you, thanks. Just read your post about considering an Ingot Silver hatchback. Great minds think alike, eh? LOL.
  7. IFO am very happy to be able to get the tech and creature comforts available on the Titanium along with the utility of a hatch and nearly 40 MPG for literally almost half the price of my 2003 Lincoln LS V8 Premium Sport. Feels like a bargain to me.
  8. Thanks for the shutter info. Due perhaps to the PZEV vs. ULEV required engine spec in CA?
  9. 38 Hwy would tie to marketing statements targeting a 10% improvement over the 2011 Focus. From what I have gleaned from media, it seems the SFE is the only model with active grille shutters. Does anybody understand that differently?
  10. Here's another review that's very complimentary. The Truth About Cars: 2012 Focus review
  11. Congratulations! Another good sign.
  12. Really enjoyed this video review. I was ready to order the Tuscany Red interior style package until I saw the first post-embargo photos. This video just confirms my decision to go with the solid charcoal leather. IMHO, that red is a really odd color and there's way too much of it; especially with the trim on the center stack. In the Arctic White package the white inserts are greatly reduced (it's the reverse of theT Red's on bolsters/backs/centers) but wow, talk about prone to soil and scuffs.
  13. Ditto. My order was placed Feb. 2. Still, it's a positive sign that customer orders are being scheduled.
