Just heard a rumor the boys at international including joel are reworking the language to prevent us from returning to rawsonville regardless of seniority...supposedly straight from 'jody' at international with a hard deadline of wednesday 3-30 to get it done! Apparently they feel some 300 of us are just a 'casualty of war' sacrificed to keep raws open and start flowing the low wagers into the joint...PLEASE call your contacts at international and BLOW ole JOEL up and ask WTF is going on!!! First of all, there is no comparison between Canada and the US. Your national healthcare relieves Ford of any obligations. Secondly, we do not acrue sub credits. What they are proposing is set sub credits for the life of the contract. There is 2 1/2 years left on this contract. For someone with less than 10 years they will only recieve 26 weeks and 26 weeks at 50%. For someone like myself who is close but not quite vested(10 yrs), this is a way of eliminating me and those like me. If anyone on here thinks I will vote myself into the unemployment line your fucking mad. There is only vague mentions of future work as well. If I am wrong on any of this please feel free to correct me. My mind is open and corruptable. Convince me otherwise.

I never suggested a raise super smart guy. My point is i'm unwilling to give. Period. When does the giving stop? As organized labor we have given enough. This is an overall economy issue. How does slashing my wage and benefits help the ECONOMY? It doesn't. The issue is SALES. PERIOD. They aren't there. If there needs to be additional downsizing then let's go. I just thought about it. Fuck that. Explain the countless bailouts obama will give us. This is a recession issue. If the markets and lending don't turn around then fuck it.
