  1. It would be nice to know what our own standings are as far as seniority in our own trade. With this last round of buy outs we may just see some of that out of zone bumping
  2. I found it. The modification we all voted for and was passed in March has this section. ONE OUT OF ZONE JOB OFFER After the existing hierarchy is completed, employees on layoff have three options: A) accept an out-ofzone placement; B) be dropped from pay and benefits with recall rights only; C)bump the low seniority employee in zone who is working (in Michigan, zones 1 and 2 will be combined for this actiononly) If option C is elected, the low-seniority working employee in zone must accept out-of-town placement or be dropped from the rolls with only recall rights. Low-seniority skilled employees on layoff after hierarachy is exhausted for non-skilled openings in-zone may be forced to accept the non-skilled opportunity in-zone or be dropped from the rolls with recall rights only.
  3. I just had that paper in my hands two days ago and now it walked off. I'm sure it's not far. We are aon the same page and I'm sure it will be stickey for all people moving, especially the first two. I'm surprised how many people did not read the entire paper before voting. I guess they never think anything will ever come around and bite them in the ass. By screwing so many people out of JEN nothing was ever pointed at them. They and their family was safe forever.
  4. According to the last contract agreement we voted on in March of 2009. The one that got rid of JEN. If a job opens up outside of our zone and we are able to bid on it (because of not enough in zone responce) we can bid. If we win the bid we do not have to move out of zone but the lowest person in that trade and our zone must move and fill that position and we fill the one the youngest tradesman vacated.
  5. Thank you all for your help. i hope in a sort time none of us will be needing anything like TAP. we all want to get back to our jobs.
  6. Does anybody know how this plan works? It says TAP pays 50% of the employee's gross base pay for a 40-hour work week. And we also get State Unemployment. So if an employee made $1000.00 a week gross base pay for fourty hours. That would be $500.00 from (TAP). And State unemployment payed say $300. Then the employee would receive $800 for the week. Am I figuring this right? Is there someone out there who is receiving (TAP) that could help me out?
  7. I was off for about two years and I was never able to get such information. I was told it keeps changing by the minute so they were unable to give us that iformation.
  8. Captian there are realy not that many trades people out there not working if you would break them up into the number of plants and three shifts. Do you have any guess or gut feeling ( I'm not asking for any positivelys this will happen, just a gut feeling ) on when these guys and tool and die too may see a posibilty of going back to our tools. Now everybody don't go jumping on this guy for his opinion. If you want you can put in your opinion too based on what you may know.
  9. Any production people who want to work were asked first before any production who never worked production. The regardless of their seniority the trades people assume lower siniority than the last production employee. And they are only temperary workers making the same rate as production workers.
  10. You also get a day less seniority than the last person HIRED into the plant. :gang:
  11. I did not have the oppertunity to go to Saline and I was on ILO.
  12. Why would you want to be standing outside while some scab is doing your job?
  13. I think I spread myself too thin here what I want to say is this can all happen if we strike over money or benifets. All other is fair game which seems like only Health and safety. But maybe something else may pop up.
  14. If we strike for anything other than health and safety they can, with the help of the law, bring in the scabs. And for the long cold winter we will be standing outside looking in over the thugs hired to protect them. They will have the law on their side. Mess with them and I don't think Ford will hold your job for you while you are in the slammer. Check it out we already lost our right to strike except for health and safety in which no scabs can be brought in.
  15. Captain I am not able to figure out buy the wording of to paper I received if this will change our contract experation date form 2011 to 2015 or not. And this would make a differance for those out on ILO who may be forced out again in the future. We all say this will never happen but for some reason it does. Can you help me?
  16. So just what are you trying to say?
  17. In the trades they make it for trades on ILO or anyone else in the area working in that trade to bid also.
  18. To work for ford in mexico you would have to work for the same wage as the locals. Mexico law.
  19. Could this strike thing just be some reverse psychology to get us to use the strike to their advantage? If we were to strike for anything other than "safety and health" issue the company could call in SCABS to replace us at a much lower rate of pay. This would be done with the full protection of the law. We mess with the scabs we go to jail, not to mention getting fired. Then the company would not come to the negotiating table for as long as they leagly could. Then just play games untill we take drastic reductions in pay. I can see this going on for years not just weeks. All the while the company would have the upper hand and have the slow time to train all the SCABS for long term jobs. I hope I am wrong. If you can see something wrong with this sonario please let me know. Don't just say that can never happen, put some facts with your answer. Let's talk about this.
  20. All production in the area that are on layoff have been asked first before any of us have been asked. Now maybe someone out west wasn't asked because this is only a temp job with no dates attached. it could last two weeks or two years. would you move for a job like that?
  21. You sure have a great chairman that would post things like that. :cheerleader:
