  1. If they overpay you, you may have to pay it all back.
  2. Hey,,,, there is a big BLUE OVAL sitting on a post in front of the closed Whitman ford dealership in Temperance, MI. Does anybody need one?
  3. This will only be a crappy contract if you vote it in. No matter what Bob says or how much he waves his arms, raises his voice, even jumps up and down. He can't vote in the contract. Only you can. If you don't like what is behind door number one and can't live with it for four years, vote against it. Don't keep quite tell your friends how you feel. The Union negotiators will be telling what they think and they have microphones. This should be a contract for YOU, not the Union Negotiators.
  4. How much of your future would you be willing to gamble on that?
  5. My understanding is it is in the Local contract. It was negotiated localy.
  6. Home plant are the key words here. Most trades working production are temps at Saline.
  7. There is something I don't understand here. These are ACH workers in a ACH plant who are trying to run for office And you are a Ford worker in a ACH plant who don't want them to take a position in which they are entitled too. If the plant had the big FORD sighn out front I could understand but it don't. Secondly your union dues to the UAW are two hour a week and if you are layed off two hours of nothing is nothing. So they should be in good standing as far as dues go.
  8. Maybe we should double check that. I think auto profits are way up not auto sales.
  9. Is there any way to invite a news reporter from the paper or TV and let them work the line for one whole week to see how people realy work? I don't think people realy know how hard the work realy is. They need to be told by a third party who has been there. Bring this up to your union.

The layed off trades have been saying the same thing for about four years and we are still getting bounced around plant to plant with no seniority. Maybe you will be that lucky too. But I would rather see your plant make a big come back with even more Ford cars.
  11. Now I agree with all you have said. It could topple the union eventually.
  12. You voted in the two tier system. What did you expect?
  13. As you will see through the years there are many mistakes made that you will just have to live with. Some day they may get it right and you may be allowed to bid on other plants. In the mean time you should be greatfull you have a RTBU to fall back on. Many other tradesmen do not have this luxury. their plants are gone.
  14. Maybe the rest of us will stop buying the products you make and spred the word to others. When demand gets low enough Ford will just transfer your products to Mexico.
  15. Mine is fine. It could just be your slow dialup.
  16. It wasn't that long ago you voted for the two tier wage system so you could get a raise in pay.
  17. Did the trades work as trades or temp production.
  18. According to the International, Trades does not have the right to follow the work. Other plants tried and it was not allowed according to the letters of understanding. Follow the work is only for production. If the union was to allow this they will be flodded with grievences from all who were held back from following the work to other plants who took our work.
  19. You sound like a little kid saying mine is bigger than yours. We are saying why are you knocking the union people who are doing a great job of making those engines and transmissions?
  20. I feel the same as you about our outside vendors, but don't all these parts being recalled have a flaw, and are designed by Ford engineers? The outside vendors didn't invent these parts. Ford engineers did. If I cost the company that much money and brought our name down as they did I would be out on the street looking in. So why keep engineers that screw up as they did? And don't tell me they can't figure out who designed the flaw. They all have to put their names on paper too.
  21. OK My prediction is that the union will try to get back COLA. I realy hope they do too.
  22. Now that we are in the beginning of the 2011 contract year. Does anybody want to predict what the new contract will have in it? Lets hear your predictions now and see what happens in 9 months so you can say see I told you so.
  23. Would you like to see the union brothers and sisters who make the parts for this car be out of work too?
  24. In front of the plant there is a big big tree. i'd say it is in the center of the admin building. Does anyone kow what kind of tree it is ? I don't think I have ever seen a tree that big in this area.
