  1. From a different thread: Of course there was a rude reply where someone attempts to rip it apart. The Reply: ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I dont know if this information will be of any help but at first glance it looks like these people at CAP are in the same type of boat the people of DTP are now in (filing of appeals to change or cancel transfers). My question has been and is still: If this costs the company NOTHING then why is this a problem? The people at CAP even agreed to give up the moving allowance all together just to get back to Michigan. Thus, SAVING the company some money. I just dont get it. If you have rude comments, go comment on another thread, please. Thanks and good luck.
  2. You "thinks" wrong... but thats ok. I think you are missing something... Maybe I need to add more information. The sign up for CAP was still open when the DTP sign up became available. The time frame that Im referring to was the FIRST time DTP was offered roughly two years ago. Its been sitting on the back shelf that long, all the while people from various locations were being forced to DTP. The reason varies why they want to report to DTP, but mostly because some folks relocated out of Michigan and now would like to come "home" ... First they were told that there were no openings available... then they said DTP openings were only offered to Zone 1 and 2. The eligibility window was absolutely NOT closed. Hence, the appeal. The appeal was based on IRREVOCABLE being reversed due to the fact that it was filed BEFORE openings to CAP and DTP were closed. Im sorry I dont have the dates on those available to me at this moment. But I can get them if I thought it would make any difference. So in a nutshell: CAP signups opened. Before CAP sign ups closed DTP became available. These people asked to "switch" their choice. They were told no, and before either eligibility window closed an appeal was filed and promptly thrown on the back burner. It was very important to know that the appeal was filed and recorded BEFORE the sign up windows closed. They were told that would be the only way the appeal would even be considered. After roughly one month, phone calls were ignored and messages no longer returned. Now people are being forced to DTP and Im on this forum asking why force if there are volunteers? Wouldnt you want to know this? Im not here to argue if Im on the bubble... Im not. I retire in a few years. I dont even work at AAI. But with all the suspicions on this site these days, I really wasnt counting on getting much real information anyway. But I completely agree with you, brother, there is definitely something fishy going on... But thanks for the reply. Anyone else know of information, I would be happy to pass along. What would it take to get the union to focus on the appeal they filed?
  3. People of AAI should know there are a handful of individuals that have an appeal with the union to VOLUNTARILY transfer to DTP and are being ignored. Last year DTP openings were offered to EVERYONE in the system EXCEPT to anyone that had already signed up to transfer to CAP the week before. Since no one had actually transferred yet, there were several people that decided to go to DTP instead, except Ford wouldnt let them. These individuals claim had they known that DTP would be available they would not have signed up for CAP. So a class action appeal was filed. And, naturally, nothing was ever heard from the union about it again. Phone calls were ignored and everyone was basically "stuck" with their original sign up and reported to CAP. Originally they were told it may only be a few weeks to a few months before they would be back in Michigan but they had to first agree to give up their moving bonus to CAP and accept zero money to move to DTP. Everyone agreed, and now as they wait to hear if they can report to DTP, other people are being FORCED to DTP. So if it cost the company and the union NOTHING to move these people into DTP why isnt something being done to get these voluntary transferees to report to DTP before forcing others who do not want to go there or worse: laid off? Can someone answer this? Im aware that CAP "needs" the manpower but we all know that CAP openings has been offered numerous times company wide and they can (and have) been hiring the two-tier workers. DTP was offered to everyone in the system EXCEPT these people. I dont see how an opening can be offered to every single person except for these 10 or 20 individuals. There are talks of hiring attorneys but who knows where to even start... Anything anyone can offered would be passed on to all who are seeking answers about this. Thanks in advance. And good luck.
  4. Agreed. People find it much easier to read with no caps whatsoever rather than all caps. Id explain why, but Im not going to waste my time.... Just take your damn elbow off the Cap Lock and type as you normally would so we can read what you have to say without getting a freaking headache.
  5. Just heard Chicago cancelled this Saturday and possibly Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Any other plants cancelling production? Wonder if this is related to the fire??? Anyone have any information?
  6. Well, I got up and had a cup of coffee today. Jumped in the shower at about 8:00am cuz I needed to go by the bank. Stopped off at the hardware store to look for some items I needed for a project Im working on, then I went back home to watch the news for a while.... Got on the forum and whaaaa, everyone's being mean to me! Whew, it was a rough day for me. Thank goodness its over! Oops, I thought I was on Facey-spacey website.
  7. WHAT is this? Facebook now? Go update your status and leave this forum for the adults to talk about grown man shit.....
  8. That sucks, in KC we have always been lucky to have benefit reps that would follow through and take care of every problem I have had, not nearly as bad as yours, I feel for you and your family and I hope to hec they get it straightened out for you, although it doesn't it make it better all the stress you have had to endure. I appreciate the words of encouragement. But I sure wish I knew what the hell is going on.....
  9. I wish it was that easy. The problem is that most of the time the benefit rep will gladly make a phone call or two for you, but once it turns in ~work~ they dont want anything to do with it any more.... Ive been having the exact same issue for over two years now. I had major surgery two and a half years ago, then a few months later my spouse had two major surgeries. We did everything we were supposed to including getting the required tests, referrals and waiting for the insurance approval of the procedures. We had our surgeries, No problems. Insurance paid everything in full, and thats when the shit hit the fan. Were you aware that your insurance can withdraw monies paid to your physicians AFTER a bill has been paid? And give NO REASON. We weren't either. We started getting bill after bill after bill where some of these doctor offices were absolutely pissed off. I guess I dont blame them but I had nothing to do with it so I couldnt figure out why everyone was so ticked off at us... We called our insurance provider. At first, it was just a human error, no problem, it will be fixed..... and..... It wasnt. Then it was something wrong with the computer files, it will be fixed... it wasnt. Then it was right name/wrong social security number was entered on every single piece of paperwork (really?), it will be fixed.... It wasnt. Every single time it said that we were no longer eligible for coverage. By this time, more bills are coming in stamped DENIED BY INSURANCE. Wait a minute! Insurance already paid this bill and this one and that one too.... No, Insurance went back and withdrew money paid for our primary physician for office visits from MONTHS before the surgeries. We were lucky enough to have a great primary physician with an excellent staff that not only understood that we had nothing to do with this error, but told us that WE WERENT THE ONLY ONES going thru this!! AND we were told it seems to be something going on with only his autoworker patients. But what does that mean? I went to get blood drawn and when the receptionist pulled up my insurance info it said on her computer that my coverage ran out the day before. Then she too said I was the third autoworker in that day that not only was denied coverage but was dropped the day before.... what the hell is going on? After a few months, many phone calls, dozens of trips to our benefits rep (who was baffled and shocked this was happening ~ why am I having a hard time believing that?), our primary doctor was given their money back ... HOWEVER... the surgeons werent as diligent about resubmitting and resubmitting and resubmitting again and only produced the the bills twice before handing them off to collections. Are you sitting down? Get this: I recently had the MRI people resubmit a bill yet again from an MRI I had 2 years ago and they were given a rejection DUE TO TIME LIMITATIONS TO SUBMIT FOR PAYMENT! Ohhhhhh, I see the loophole now. Force everyone to jump through endless hoops and once the deadline for submittal has been reached simply reject it based on time limitations. At this point, gee, the benefit rep is sick of hearing from me, is no longer answering my voicemails and has no answers whatsoever on what to do or even WHY this is happening to us.... (just as long as it isnt hasnt happened to HIM yet, right?) He says he made some calls and people he talks to tells him that everything has been taken care of... so he's done his job. In the mean time, guess whos getting sued for non-payment? So while Im looking at being sued and having my wages garnished in this already struggling economy, this other guy is looking at losing his wife because the insurance companies want to play games and the Benefit Reps are busy doing crossword puzzles and skipping out 3 hours early. Short of lecturing me on how "hard" all the benefit reps work all day long, (Im telling ya ~ ours doesnt) does anyone have any idea why we are going through this? Its to the point that perhaps we should be contacting an attorney. Oh but wait a minute: the benefits rep is now insisting that all the errors have finally been fixed and everyone "will be getting paid shortly..." so just be a little more patient. Is he serious?????
  10. ... And KC BOB just shit all over the only piece of good news on this forum with nothing but facts and the truth!
  11. Here are some words to help you understand what went down: MANIPULATED LIED CORPORATE GREED NIAVE BROKEN PROMISES SCREWED ... and there are many many more. If you still just dont get it then you've been under a freaking rock for the past few years. Ford is NOT going to honor their contracts or promises and continue to screw any and all of us in any way they can. People that havent come to terms with that are just: LIVING IN A DREAMLAND!
  12. So youre saying here you believe that: KCAP is going to add the bshift back top to the truck side, keep the the 3 shifts to run Escape by using temps, AND Add the transit van to the line up? Wow. I dont even know what to say.... Is there any rumor floating around that KCAP is just going to go ahead and build everything that Ford manufactures so they can shut down all the other plants too?
  13. If only 6 people were to show up and all vote no... then DTP will have a 100% No Vote/ 0% yes. Still sends a message. Not exactly the one we would like to send but a message nevertheless.
  14. If memory serves, the local news here was broadcasting the results of the last concession vote ONE HOUR after the polls closed. How is that possible. OF COURSE, it was in favor of the company.
