I saw a documentary about Ford Motor in China.The first thing you need to understand is that Americans are taught to hate each other.Ford`s head guy in China was saying that Ford`s plans in China were to satisfy the demands of the Chinese market first and then if there was any excess capacity Ford Motor would export vehicles made in China to the USA.That is a clever way of saying that Ford is chasing slave labor around the world.Ford now considers itself a GLOBAL Company.Ford no longer has national loyalty.Yes I think people will buy a Ford made in China.The key here is will the politicians allow this?Keeping in mind that ALL politicians bribe I would say the chances are excellent.This is the answer for all the wealthy corporate officers who want power over other people`s lives;Beat down the USA middle-class and make them afraid of poverty;constant war that drains tax dollars away from the U.S. infrastructure.Do not be fooled by divide and conquer strategies.Ford goes bankrupt in North America.Government steps in and bails out Ford of North America.Pensioneers are handed over to the Government and the taxpayers.They get maybe 25 cents on the dollar.Ford-Global manufactures vehicles offshore and exports them to the USA.It is all very possible because USA is a nation of hard-asses who hate each other.If I have a dollar bill AND {this is very important} you don`t,then I must be a better person than you.That is America.Slave to the $$$$$.I assume any attempt to legitimately unionize in China would be considered anarchy and punished severly by the Chinese Authorities.

Our nation`s progressive tax structure is used as a divide and conquer tool against the population.There are clear winners and losers with the 'winners' {people on welfare}always voting to take more away from the 'losers'{people who get out and work harder}.Sad part is there is nothing a taxpayer can do about it because government also gets a big cut.An honest hardworking taxpayer is nothing more than a pigeon.The maximum Federal tax rate on anybody should be no more than 25%.Downsize government and stop the welfare mentality

Why should Toyota workers want the UAW?Toyota workers already benefit from the UAW without having to exhibit any courage on their own part.The UAW kisses up to them and Toyota responds by treating them fairly.No union dues,a person can get ahead on his own,clean place to work,winning company,more status being non-union ,,why join the UAW?

I agree.Ford`s marketing and advertising is second rate.I work at DTP.I would love to see a television commercial showing an F-150 doing all the many things that it can do and a small car can not do.Why shy away?Show the average operating costs for one year and let the consumer decide if the increase in fuel efficiency is worth giving up function and style.

I don`t really know what is going to happen.This is just my opinion.Taking a buyout where the monies are paid monthly like an SER is very risky.Ford Motor has lost billions in the past few years and they are not going to be profitable in 2009.Ford could declare bankruptcy protection, at that point ,the Federal Government might step in and take over the Company`s pension liability and pay 10 cents on the dollar.This is the USA Corporations rule and the little people can eat crap.Myself I would like a cash buyout maybe structured over two years to ease the tax bite.
