  1. Haven't really seen this addressed but what will happen to those that just took the buyout? Specifically those that took educational ones and are waiting for stipends in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th years? Congress didn't like that fact that the Big 3 enticed workers to leave buy paying them to do so.
  2. So what in the hell does the cab and box bolt too?
  3. Are you saying we can't be on layoff in order to sign up for a buyout?
  4. Now when I called 1A I was told there were some issues that needed to be resolved. There were articles in various papers where it has stated buyouts were being offered again. http://www.ohio.com/business/25746319.html http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article...80344&imw=Y http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/artic...0405/1148/rss25 Something's fishy...
  5. I wouldn't be surprised if someone keeps calling labor at DTP and constinately being told no they're not available and then the next time being told the deadline has passed.
  6. Spoke with labor today at DTP and nothing has been given or said about the buyouts and the union office line rang then went to a busy signal.
  7. While DTP did stop production July 4th, our actual start date for LAYOFF(TLO or ILO) was July 21.
  8. Well see that's the crux. I was expecting a paper check since I didn't ask for or sign up for a debit card/direct deposit. Had I not called a few friends and luckily I kept my unasked for debit card that the UIA so conveniently sent me I would not have know that my money was here.
  9. From the way things were explained to me was the local agreement tweaks the national for each locale. This is one of 900's "tweaks" Don't disagree or agree just the way that it is. From what we have read here on the boards and all there weren't many if any people in GEN. MTP has been on layoff since the last week of June; Rouge just went on layoff July 21st.
  10. How are some of you getting checks? I called MI UIA and was told no more checks will be sent out: debit cards or direct deposit only.
  11. Long story short: Local 900 that covers WAP/ISA and MTP have an agreement in the local contract that if one plant or the other has a reduction in force that a person can slide over from one plant to another PROVIDING that person has 6yrs or more seniority. Being that WAP/ISA is adding a third shift to the plant MTP would have first crack.
