  1. Haven't really seen this addressed but what will happen to those that just took the buyout? Specifically those that took educational ones and are waiting for stipends in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th years? Congress didn't like that fact that the Big 3 enticed workers to leave buy paying them to do so.
  2. So what in the hell does the cab and box bolt too?
  3. Are you saying we can't be on layoff in order to sign up for a buyout?
  4. Now when I called 1A I was told there were some issues that needed to be resolved. There were articles in various papers where it has stated buyouts were being offered again. http://www.ohio.com/business/25746319.html http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article...80344&imw=Y http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/artic...0405/1148/rss25 Something's fishy...
  5. I wouldn't be surprised if someone keeps calling labor at DTP and constinately being told no they're not available and then the next time being told the deadline has passed.
  6. Spoke with labor today at DTP and nothing has been given or said about the buyouts and the union office line rang then went to a busy signal.
  7. While DTP did stop production July 4th, our actual start date for LAYOFF(TLO or ILO) was July 21.
  8. Well see that's the crux. I was expecting a paper check since I didn't ask for or sign up for a debit card/direct deposit. Had I not called a few friends and luckily I kept my unasked for debit card that the UIA so conveniently sent me I would not have know that my money was here.
  9. From the way things were explained to me was the local agreement tweaks the national for each locale. This is one of 900's "tweaks" Don't disagree or agree just the way that it is. From what we have read here on the boards and all there weren't many if any people in GEN. MTP has been on layoff since the last week of June; Rouge just went on layoff July 21st.
  10. How are some of you getting checks? I called MI UIA and was told no more checks will be sent out: debit cards or direct deposit only.
  11. Long story short: Local 900 that covers WAP/ISA and MTP have an agreement in the local contract that if one plant or the other has a reduction in force that a person can slide over from one plant to another PROVIDING that person has 6yrs or more seniority. Being that WAP/ISA is adding a third shift to the plant MTP would have first crack.
  12. Sounds bout right. It took Ford only 1 month to change MTP's trim/bodyshop from a east/west comfiguration to a North/South Trim only configuration in 96.
  13. I called the Rouge Sub Office today. Voice greeting said that you can/have to wait up to 3wks(4 if filing from Va) before receiving your Sub Pay from the date that you received you uneployment check. Anything earlier and they will not return your phone call. Guess I'll give it till Sat the 26th before I raise a stink.
  14. IIRC you'd be eligble for S plan on the Mazda 6 only since you build it in your facility.
  15. DTP is down till Sept 22nd. LAunch I last heard was July sometime, could be later now but KCAP has the launch lead.
  16. Won't be able to call MARVIN til week of August 4th. Actual layoff doesn't begin til Mon June 21 but good question on the claiming of Sun July 20th. If we do have to claim Sun July 20, that's pretty F'd up. If by some chance we do have to claim Sun July 20 it would be for 10 holiday only. No shift premium.
  17. What's up with the torque guage?
  18. Should be sometime this week. Layoff week of June 16th Can't call MARVIN til the week of June 30th. If ya worked C-crew; extra delay as the UIA has to send Ford what ya claimed as earnings for Sunday June 15th and Ford has to manually put that(earnings) info in.
  19. That I do know. What I'm saying is; Is it considered earned income in the since that you get paid and get taxed then have to file taxes on the money that was already taxed once.
  20. Is the 100K buyout considered earned income? If so that means you're taxed once at the time of disburstment and again when filing income taxes. So ones 100K is effectively only worth 35 to 40K after its all said and done.
