I agree. I for one would not want to be in traffic behind this person and have this person's license plate drop one of the seven words you cannot say (Think George Carlin) looking back at me. It's just not in good taste.

Any news yet on when the 2010 order guides should be out for Police and Taxi CV as well as for LTC, and G.Marq.

Yes, they should. And in addition to what I said earlier, to keep the consumer car updated, (bring it back for retail) through in a maurauder style interior with some nice aluminum wheels and call it a Galaxie 500 XL

That would be seem to be to underpowered to have a turbo 6Cyl in a Large RWD Car. Why not do a Displacement on Demand on the 4.6L 3 Valve Motor. Connect to a 6 Speed Auto, and do a 3.27 Traction Lok axle.

I had posted this question a while back but nobody answer it. Can anyone tell me when are the final model years for the Town Car, Grand Marquis, and Crown Vic? Any changes to the 2010 Model Year?

Will there be a 2010 Explorer/ Merc. Mountianeer as BOF or will this be the D3 that we have been hearing so much about? What about new options?

Will there even be a 2010 GMQ of Linc.TC? What about interceptor's and taxi? If there is, andy new options or equipment for the carline?

Who Fault is all this? Was it the automakers for buliding vehicles with bad quality in the 80's and 90's (and good luck getting those customers back, even though GM and Ford & Chrysler today bulid some of the highest quality vehicles around) Or was it the UAW for bleeding the car companies with through the roof health care costs and pensions? Or was it Bush who signed the Energy bill which in turn raised the CAFE Requirements? Or is it the fact that oil was allowed to go through the roof ($147.00 at the high point) a Barrel? Thanks Bush! Or was it Bill Clinton for signing in NAFTA? Thanks Bill. Or was it the fact that Honda, Toyota, Hyundai and other foriegn brands are using North America as a dumping ground for their products and the Government allows it without high taxes on those products to encourage people to buy American. Or was it the fact that everytime you walk in to a GM, Ford or Chrysler Dealer, they alienate people from buying the vehicle becuase they try to hold the price and think they are going to outsmart everyone with outdated sales tactics that don't work? It's a combination of all of the above that is going to bankrupt the Big 3 and that is a shame. I have always bought American made vehicles and will continue to purchase them as long as they are being made. Maybe if every other American did buy an American made car or truck we would not be in the shape we are in.

Hi Guys, I have what appears to be a problem with Audiophile Sound System in my 2003 Explorer Limited Centennial Edition. The car has 59,700 miles (almost out of warranty, ESP) and for the past few thousand miles, upon startup the display does not come on right away and there is no audio sound while that happens. Today I got in the car to start it up an as soon as I did the Radio Display was blank (no audio) and I heard the CD changer cycling (no cd's were in it). After this which took about a mintue, my radio came on with display and audio and I could see the cd indicators flashing one by one and then going off. I would like to take it in before the ESP runs out (60K) but it does not do it all the time and today is the first day it got worse. What could be the issue? Ford Replaced the radio head unit once before for a CD changer issue, and I remember that the similar (no display, no audio) for a few seconds after startup started happening. It sounds more like a wiring harness issue? Please advise. Thank You.

Do you guys at the factory see the Panther extending through 2010? Will the RWD go away faster with the whole gas issue? As someone that has owned a 2 Grand Marquis and 1 Crown Vic, and 2 Town Cars, all throughout the 1990's I am very sad to hear that these cars will be discontinued at some point. I am however not surprised when I have seen the way FoMoCo has not really got behind the platform by trying to keep it alive with a redesign every so often. I rented a 2007 Town Car 2 years ago and was very put off at the way the vehicle felt. It was not at all like the Town Cars of the past. It felt kinda cheap, the steering was not that great and the vehicle did not handle quite as well as the 1990-1997 LTC. That is progress? FoMoCo should really get serious about this market again (even with a fuel crisis) and know that there are people out there who would love to purchase these type of vehicles but they need to do their part and invest in them for the future.
