Ok...just trying to get a better understanding of vehicle production and guesstimate when us easterners will start seeing Hybrids. A = How many vehicles can roll off the Escpae assembly line per day/week B = How many of those are Hybrids C = How many Escape Hybrids (non fleet) have been commited by Ford to CA D = How does Ford Handle Fleet production. Is there a set date when they will stop making consumer orders to fullfill fleet orders? E = What date do you think Ford will start producing east coast orders C/B=E +/- D

I'm chomping at the bit here. When I get excited about something I want it yesterday!! I just have to keep reminding myself that when it does come the wait will be more than worth it. For me, something tangible would keep me at bay, I can't wait till the blend date when I can have a print out of the window sticker to replace the order status lookup I received from my dealership the week after I placed the order. Ordered from Flemington. Don't fret too much about not having a VIN# yet. We East coast customers take a back seat to the West coast customers. Not exactly fair but its the way Ford is doing things. FIFO would be ideal but I knew that wasn't going to be happening when I ordered. As long as your dealership has allotment and your not behind a ton of orders you "should" be getting a VIN# within the next few weeks or month and taking delivery around the end of September or early October. <<...this is based on what I have heard from my dealership sales manager and read online on the various Ford & Hybrid forums. The sales manager we have been working with gave us a delivery time frame of 9/1 - 11/30 with a "most likely" of mid October. To many factors to give a more exact date, fleet builds, taxi builds, batteries/part availability, weather delays..err transportation strikes, etc. etc and so on.

Curiosity. When was your order placed and do you have a VIN# yet? What dealership (optional) did you buy from? And though it is a bit early to be planning this, who's interested in meeting up down the shore next spring for a get together? Blind Mike & Michelle TwoLostMinds

I have always liked having a bumper to bumper warranty for the period of time we are financing a vehicle. We are purchasing a 6/100,000 mile warranty as we will hit 100,000 miles somewhere between 70 and 72 months of ownership. Shop around at the different Ford dealerships for a good price or go with warrantydirect.com.

Ordered ours on 5/26/08, should be getting VIN in about another 3 weeks per dealership.

I ordered on 6/26 and it went into the system on 6/27. Dealership updated me via email last Friday, no VIN yet but says we are still on track for sometime between 10/1 & 11/30 delivery. Keeping fingers crossed.

Anyone know how many Hybrids have been sold as of Q2 2008? If I understand the tax credit info, as long as Ford hasn't sold the 60,000th hybrid by June 30th full credit ($3000 FWD) will still apply until at least December 31st 2008. Is this correct? Mike

Placed order for our 09 FEH yesterday morning. Black Pearl Slate FWD NAV Side Step Cross Rails Dealership gave us an order number, body style number and dealership number and told us our priority number was 10. The sales manager told us we should expect delivery around the end of October or first week of November. Should be receiving a copy of the order confirmation sheet next week from the sales manager. A sales person told us to search online and we would find a way to find out more about the production dates, thats how we found this great site. Is their delivery date estimate realistic or should I expect a longer wait? Can I find out more information about the blend, production and delivery dates with the information that I have from the dealership? Thanks in advance for your help! Mike TwoLostMinds
