Did you tighten the ratchet strap? Lol! Oh, and snooter: Your ignorance is just amazing! It's growing exponentially every day. It's like the universe constantly expanding. Infinite, limitless, and awe inspiring. I feel as though we're just starting to understand it's reaches. We need another NASA to start charting it. Maybe there's a "Federation of Snooter's Ignorance" waiting for us to further understand it before they help us explore further...

Comparison review: Minivans vs. crossovers

1 week driving vehicles + 5 minutes writing an article about them = 1 week of defending yourself. Classic. -
Comparison review: Minivans vs. crossovers
chiefstang replied to DC Car Examiner's topic in Competing Products
As is REPEATEDLY being pointed out to you, look at the content of the vehicles you tested. Look at the quality of the materials used. Look at the equipment you can't get on the competitor's vans. Your fly by night assumption that just because those were the cars you were able to get, they have the same equipment is astonishing. I can't believe you still can't grasp the fact that your comparison, while interesting, is flawed on many levels. But go ahead. We're all eagerly awaiting the review of your winner. Keep going. -

<sigh> This is one EVIL merry go round you're on. Round. And. Round. Just wondering how many tickets you're going to buy before you realize you're not getting anywhere here. I don't like the Camaro. I've driven one. That doesn't mean I'm going to go to a Camaro forum and talk about it's shortcomings and expect praise for a well written, well thought out review. Common sense, man. That, and your review is off. What about the benefits BESIDES cubic footage? I'm not even saying the Flex should be a shoe-in for first, but you are lacking in too many scoring areas. Saying "It's got more space" only tells one reason to buy. -

Nice cherry pick. What about your criteria being off? It's ok to accept critisism as an author, and hopefully better your writing as a result. The fact that you're being universally jabbed for the same thing should tell you that maybe this review was a farse. Not all, but without question, you dropped the jounalistic "ball" here. For the record, the "Ford's Competition" section is strictly for bashing Ford's competition. -

Question: Why are you still posting here, DC? Every one of your "reviews" is picked apart here, and it seems you spend more time trying to defend yourself than actually writing. That much unrest must mean something ain't right... Right? As for the worst car rag out there, that's easy for me. C&D. Hands down. Why Ford hasn't yanked their ads from the pad of toilet paper is beyond me. For the record, DC, I don't hate your review, but as has been repeatedly stated, I think your criterias are skewed. You point out the advantages to only the vans, but none of the obvious benefits of the crossovers. Cubic footage isn't the only reason to buy a family hauler. With you being in MD, you have no idea how valuable AWD is to the soccer moms of the upper states. As for pricing, look at content, fit and finish and build quality. If you think the Caravan has a nicer interior, I'll eat my keyboard. I don't read your reviews much, because I don't like you using these forums as a means to plug another site. A site that typically rates the Fords last... This is a Ford forum. For the most part, why would we care about your "review" of the new Subaru (That's already been on the lots and reviewed by everyone else)? Why here? -
You know. When I was growing up, my father worked for Kodak, and there was no way in hell we would have a Polaroid camera or Fuji film in our house. It's called "biting the hand that feeds". You sir, should not have your current job. You're not only a hypocrite when you spend your whole workday posting here, but you're a hypocrite every time you punch the clock. Look in the mirror and see if you like what you see. That'll happen when you have over 13,000 posts! :beerchug:

My act is sparkling, thanks. Your act, however is paper-thin and overdone. I don't think you're as sorry a person as you pretend to be. I just think you're bored and frustrated and online forums give you a place to vent without any repercussions. How very bold of you. :beerchug: -

In fairness, this should be called SYNC 6.0 or something. It kinda leapfrogged ahead a few generations. I'm not too tech savvy, so I'm a little intimidated, but I was intimidated when SYNC 1.0 came out, and that's easy as pie. Ford seems to be bragging heavily about the user friendliness of the whole system, so here's hoping! :happy feet: -

Just found this: -->LINK<--- The 5.0 with sound in action. Great video of the engine (with a strut tower brace), and a Brembo brake upgrade... Love the red dot in the 5.0!!! Edit: I know it makes no sense (today anyways), but the pass at :12 seconds sure seems to have a touch of blower whine. Anybody else pick that up, or do I just have crappy speakers?

That's all. After 9 pages, I don't have time to get into your horribly skewed comparisons and blatant ignorance. It's already being addressed by all here, and nothing I can possibly say will make you pull your head out of your ass fast enough. And no. I don't know the answer to your question. I also don't know why you're comparing this engine to cars costing tens of thousands more.... And a f**king electric car... And the space shuttle, I guess. "Does anybody know how much more thrust is generated by a Saturn rocket than the new Coyote? I mean, come on, Ford!" WTF

Hard to read. I just wanted to yell at my monitor. Halfway down the comments section, their "online editor" responds to people calling them biased by saying they wrote the article... And I qoute: "Because we were sick of all the blowjobbery that Ford has been getting in the media". Are you kidding me? There are no facts in the article, but the fact that the online editor reacts to critisism by vulgarly saying he was tired of Ford getting good press really blows my mind. This is now the worst car article I've ever read. It just overtook the C/D comparison of the Fusion, Accord, etc... Remember when they started taking our posts off of their site pointing out their price gap in the cars tested? This is why C/D is the worst car rag out there. You'de think they'd get tired of people telling them that. Oh, and of course P is in the comments section. Moth---->Flame. Idiots. -
