  1. Transit Connect based pick up is the way to go. Right size, a good Ranger replacement. 2 or 4 door, plenty of engines available. All the parts to make it are already in Ford 'basket'. I would buy a 2 door, AWD if it happens, diesel would be amazing!
  2. There is a market for a small truck-no doubt. I would think a Transit Connect pickup would fit the bill nicely. Very different in size than the F150 so would not hurt sales, and would be funk styling-bringing more people to the Ford brand. I drive Fords and am not buying an F150. A step ladder to get in the bed? Deal breaker for me, too big-not remotely useable.
  3. No regular cab 4x4? There goes a good chunk of the working truck crowd as well as the off road play tuck people. Seems crazy to me to eliminate swaths of buyers from the Ranger.
