Do you guys honestly believe that our Skilled Trades brothers get to pick who and how many other Skilled Tradesmen get to come to work? And I must really be out of the loop because I had no idea they made their own schedules either.

I dont care what motor they put in it as long as it dont say SVO anywhere on it! I dont need the value of my 86 dropping!

I was one of the few that made it in at Saline for the last one. Stupid idea on my part. Spent twice as long driving in,,used twice as much gas as normal, had a couple "near misses" on the way in ,then get loaned out. I went through all of that when I could of stayed home and got paid for being smart and safe like the other 95% of my plant. Today I have no options. Truck #1 {2wd} slid off driveway and stuck in neighbors yard and truck #2 {4wd} is stuck in garage since the garage door is froze in a sheet of ice! Hope my power stays on now.

OK, maybe "shocked" and "scared" were a bit too strong of words. I was just tryin to say Im SURPRISED we havent heard more about their talks. And yes I realize it deals with GM and Chrysler but it also deals with the UAW, so.....wait for it.......since we are UAW workers also that should concern us also. I dont care if we gave concessions to Ford 23 times over the last 23 months,if the other two give much bigger concessions guess who will be calling us back to the table. THAT is my fear. How much are our Brothers and Sisters over there gonna be asked to give up? I feel very strongly that whatever they give up over and above what we already have given will be asked of us as well.

I am shocked that this site and other media outlets arent buzzing with info on the latest rounds of concession talks. With the Chrysler deadline coming up on the 30th and then GM on June 1st how is it we have not heard anything about what the UAW is conceding to this time around? I would assume Chrysler and the UAW must be at the table as we speak,yet no info is getting out? Am I the only one that this scares the piss out of?

We had 84 in this weeks group and they said today that they are shooting for another 84 next week. Pete said all Ford people should be in by May 18th depending on how the other plants hold their people back. They went as deep as 97 for this weeks group and they said 02 was the bottom.

Thank you. When you say TLO do you mean they got two-three days off and got short work week or did they have to call Marvin for that week?

The people that have already transfered there what was the first week schedule like? At what point did you hit the floor?

Just got my call this morning. I report monday morning. I was told I was #388 on the list and I have 02/97. Monroe layed me off back in Nov.

I got a letter from Ford Saturday in mail detailing the buyout options.

Yeah ,I have a feeling we might need to get the KY jelly back out soon.......

X2 I was there for 6 years {97-03} and it was like the movie Ground Hog Day.....nothing ever changed with the TC,same car everyday year after year.But they pumped money into making the LS,T-bird and GT while the TC got nothing.Sometimes I wondered if Ford forgot we were making them still.

Not sure how true it is but I heard that if you take the 25k voucher they will take the taxes from that out of your 50k cash so you still have 25k to play with on a car. Then that leaves with about 28k cash to live on.
