  1. They want the LINE WORKERS to get 5 min. on the hr. instead of the 6 min. So in order to keep this and our VACATION PAY if we dont use it, we at local 2000 will give up our CHAIRMAN :shades: . And we also propose a pay as you go. We would only get 1hr taken out for dues and if we do ever use or need the committeeman then we would be charged.
  2. Spring, You know how this is going to go. Their going to have the meeting inside the room and the voting in the hallway. There will be discussions but it wont matter about your question being answered. The vote will go on, and if only 10 people vote then its the majority of the 10 that they'll count. I thought everyone was going to vote on the 8th?? That's f up if not. The people should of had time to read this and have a question and answer day but like always its hurry up and vote because they know this is .
  3. It do sent matter if you vote yes or no, ford will do what they have to do when they want to. If the economy doesn't pick up we are all going to be out of a job. We were told we were going to get a new vehicle and body shop when we voted on the COA and were still waiting. I wish the International would of said no and went back to the table instead of putting this on us. The other night there were 3 sups. telling a worker that turned off the line for a quality fix that he was the reason that the company was going down. " That's funny, here we have over $300,000.00 yelling at $55,000.00 to run shit." He saved a TGW. Start cutting from the top instead of the bottom this time. We the UAW have only a little ass left. If the whole U.S. is in a rut and they say its going to take a long time to get out of, then who's going to buy any of our products ?? Tuff times are ahead for us all.
  4. I heard they want to reduce it to 72% and those with 20+ will get 52weeks and those under will get 36weeks.
  5. First I want to be sure am right. There was a YEA and NEA vote when the international proposed this Modification to our reps? Our reps are our brothers and sisters that bring this info to us. Right?? If this is really how it went then why didn't any reps vote NEA?? There are some things that I have heard that I can see wont really affect us much. ( cola freeze, physical ) But the SUB Percent and Unemployment?? I know the majority of the system is 1992 and under. In two years a lot of plants are going to change and those with 92 and under will lose 16 weeks of unemployment because of one year. And like I ask "Didn't our reps question this modification??" I also have a question about the 4 ten hour days? How do some if any of the plants do their 4 tens??
