It's really messing with our morale on the floor. Got these people who weren't elected 6 months and called to NFD. Now they come to this plant with the scare tactics and chicken little sky is falling garbage. Want to shove this deal down our throats. Are we really looking at a 3rd tier of workers? Flabbergasted and disgusted by what I'm hearing and seeing. How is a "3rd tier" supposed to afford to buy a new car? Why would NFD agree to it? What's in it for them?

On the other hand Gafa isn't afraid of hard work. He puts the membership first. Not politics. He doesn't need the chairman to write his campaign fliers. If you don't see the writing on the wall maybe you need to get your eyes checked. Combs is a part of the secretive, underhanded, company ass kissing administration that defines our chairman. A vote for combs is a vote for neil. A vote for Gafa is a vote for the members of our great local 228.

I agree Paul is the person we need in office. The other guy isn't even close. Maybe he could run for an alternate next time , and he could get some consideration possibly. He was appointed to FPS coordinator and in my opinion failed. So then he gets appointed as ESSP rep and again in my opinion failed. So what happened guy? You run out of appointed spots to be placed in? Neither Wailyn nor jesus can help you get elected now. People on the floor are sick of all the appointees and secret appointees from this chairman. A funny thing about headlines dipshit, is they are gone as quickly and abruptly as they showed up on the scene. Just wait til the next "big story" and this will all go the way of the mod at van dyke plant. A bad memory.

Nobody is arguing the point drugs should never be used on the job. However once drug testing takes place it doesn't limit a positive result to intoxicants ingested at work. I would hate to see any one get fired for something they do on a saturday night when they are on their own time. I am in no position to instruct others how to live their lives and neither are any of you here and neither is the media.

No I'm certainly not advocating using intoxicating substances on the job. However life isn't all peaches and cream. Things do happen. The example of a hilo driver having a heart attack could happen. But that doesn't mean they should be tested for coronary artery disease. Nor should the actions of a few affect my employment requirements.
